    Through the food the character and the characters relationships with other people in their life are explored.

    Each story is in the same larger universe. But there is no overarching plot so you can pick and choose what you read without missing important details

    “What Am I” takes place mid episode 5 of “The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark”

    “What Are We” is set around few months after “The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark” and has Eddie Bruce and Barbara in the beginning of an agreement that Eddie will help them solve cases in return for a vacation of sorts from Arkham

    “A Fickle Thing (Trust)” is a few months after “What Are We”

    Tim’s ears were assaulted by noise for a moment when his comm finally connected to someone else's. He couldn't really believe it, nothing felt real. He could vaguely hear people talking over the rushing in his ears; Batman’s deep tenor, Nightwing saying something that Tim couldn't comprehend. They went silent immediately when Tim's gasping voice filtered over the line.

    “-hurts, it hurts, it hurts,” He sobbed, voice cracking on a whine, “please-” his pleads were cut off by a gasp.

    “Red Robin, where are you? What is your status?” Batman demanded, a frantic air that could only belong to Bruce hidden underneath the typical Batman growl.

    “I tried- I tried to tell you but the comms were off! You turned them off, you turned them off-!” he choked out hysterically, more blood splattering from his mouth as he coughed, hacking up his inside in the suffocating rubble.

    TLDR: Red Robin gets trapped under a building

    All of these fics are set in the same universe, but should be good to be read separately! I’ve been obsessed with this series since I read the first one, and wanted more found family, and to see Kaz get the help he so desperately needs. If anyone has any requests I will do my best to write it!

    Tim raked a hand through his greasy hair. “Look, I–I’m fucken’ sorry, man, I really am. I wouldn’t…I wouldn’t come here if I had anywhere else to go.”

     

    “Fucking fantastic sales pitch, asshole,” Jason snarked, leaning against the doorframe. He's lost some of the rock-solid muscle that he'd been strapped with when Tim last saw him. Probably because he doesn't have a teenager to beat up.

     

    “Jason, please. All I need is a safe place to crash for tonight, and I’ll be gone by morning. I’ll–I’ll make you breakfast, even.”

     

    “Breakfast,” Jason said disbelievingly.

     

    Tim nodded. “One night and breakfast.”

     

    Jason gave him a long, withering look before sighing and pushing himself off the doorframe.

     

    “Fine. Fine, fuck you, fine. Follow me and don’t steal anything.”

    Tim Drake has had a rough couple of years.
    He's been addicted to oxycodone after being beaten within an inch of his life by a man that was supposed to be his brother, and after getting disowned by Bruce, he's left homeless and completely broke.
    Eventually he breaks too, and life finds a way to bring him full circle on Jason Todd's doorstep.
