"Ah, it was all a plot to keep justifying your awful Jewish jokes, I see," Kyle sets his glass aside, taking Eric's hand and intertwining their fingers. "Should have known."
"First of all, my jokes are the best," his tone is smug, but the sparkle in his eyes betrays any hint of seriousness in his words. "Second of all, that was the plan all along," he raises their joined hands to kiss the knuckles, smiling at the incredulous huff he receives in response.
"You're an idiot," Kyle whispers, gently squeezing his hand.
"I'm your idiot," he responds immediately, releasing his hand to wrap his arm around his waist.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Khal," he looks up when Cartman speaks again. "What do you think?" he asks, a huge smile full of arrogance curling his lips. If his heart wasn't beating so fast because of the detailed gift, he'd easily hit him to wipe that smile off.
"It has a tracker inside, doesn't it?" Kyle asks instead, wrapping his fingers carefully around the pendant, the chain hanging off the edge of his hand.
"What?" The smile disappears from Cartman’s face, a look of offense replacing it.

The Maronis, Falcones, and Waynes have only been seen twice together in public. Once during the burial of Martha and Thomas Wayne. The second during their youngest’s introduction to the world, the christening of Bruce Thomas Wayne.
Any normal person wouldn’t have batted an eye.
Afterall, what’s the big deal about a child getting baptized?
But a Gothamite would know.
Above all things, the Waynes were the very image of people who lost the ability to believe in religion. Admittedly, their family has remained secluded, but this was the one thing that the people would know.
They were the product of non-belief.
Humans who were tired of a God who could not hear their pleas, who then decided to take matters into their own hands. Forging their own society.
They didn’t take Bruce to the Church to get him baptized, no. It wasn’t them baptizing Bruce Wayne. It was the world being christened for Bruce Wayne. A show of power, a statement, with Sal Maroni and Carmine Falcone as his godfathers, reminding the city who the true leaders of their community were.

When Tim is forced to share a room with Damian and Jon, he was worried about being stabbed in his sleep. He didn't realize he also had to worry about watching his little brother crawl into bed with his best friend once they thought he was asleep.

There was a squeak. It was faint, but it was enough to untangle all of the progress Tim had made and render him wide awake once more. There was a creaking sound and the rustling of bed sheets and before he could try to figure out what it was, he saw a dark figure climbing down the ladder. Damian couldn't sleep either, it seemed.Tim assumed he was going to steal his blankets, get a drink of water, or maybe even take a walk, the way he sometimes did when he was restless, but he didn't. No, instead, Damian quite rudely jabbed at the mound of blankets Jon was under, earning a small groan from him.
Damian hushed him quickly. "Scoot over," he whispered, reaching to move the blankets so he could get in the bed.

Light footsteps, soft rustling of fabric. A thump against one of the other doors in the hall, like a foot or an elbow, followed by a quietly snarled curse.
Damian lets out an irritated sigh.
He jerks the door the rest of the way open, fixing a glare into the dim light of the hall. “It is four in the morning,” he hisses at the small shadow now frozen in the doorway across and one down from his own, wide eyes staring back at him in the moonlight. “You understand that the time after patrol is intended to be for sleep?”
Todd hunches his shoulders. Were he a cat, his back would be puffed up defensively. “Then go to bed,” he hisses. “It’s not my fault you have freaky bat hearing!” His eyes dart nervously towards Father’s door at the end of the hallway.
