After being exiled, Tommy didn't think his life could get worse. His only solace in his isolation from his old friends was being able to fly in secret at night (unbeknownst to Dream, who refused to let him do much of anything fun, let alone use his wings). Tommy's wings, one of the only things he has that Dream doesn't.
Until Dream catches him flying.
And rips them off.

He fumbled with his binder as he took it, eyes wide as he said, “are you sure? I mean, I love poetry and all, but I don’t think-I’m not sure—what if I can’t write poetry?”
Mr. Sam’s dark eyes softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Tommy’s shoulder, squeezing it gently. “Everyone has to start somewhere; every poet, from me to Rudy Francisco, started off without knowing a clue about what we were doing. After Logstedshire is blown sky-high, Tommy needs a place to go, and there's a seven-foot creeper hybrid that's more willing than to help him. Tommy doesn't know how much he trusts the help (especially with Sam's roomates), but he's willing to try.
It's not like he's got a lot of options, anyway. And anything is better than Dream.

Tommy is sick of Dream's torments. His rules. Tommy becomes rebellious. But when Dream finds out Tommy is planning, fighting back, can Tommy survive his wrath?
Can he survive what comes after?
