***Re-write of Death's Apprentice***
Severus Snape has always been in hell, whether dead or alive.
Death values those who are not crushed by being handed an impossible hand in life, and Severus Snape was one such person. They only come once an age, and each is as valuable as the last. When Tom Riddle made horcruxes, he cheated death, and, if the three brothers are any indication, Death does not take kindly to being cheated.
Severus awakes in his fifth year of Hogwarts with a new wand and old memories, not to mention the magical potential to match the most legendary of Wizards. His peace of mind is a small price to pay for such a gift, especially when Lily doesn't hate him, he has yet to loyally pledge to the death eaters, and Albus Dumbledore is willing to work with this enigmatic fifteen year old to end the war--not to mention that the Marauders might actually get punished for nearly taking his life, and come to regret their actions in the process.

A lollipop that appears out of nowhere in his vision derails his thought. He looks up to see a nurse in a baby blue scrub and a mask holding it.
"Helps to calm you down," he says. He's got a lilting accent and gorgeous green-grey eyes.
"That obvious, huh?"
The nurse's eyes crinkle. "You can't stop moving your legs," he says. "Waiting can be stressful, yes?"
He must have mistaken Joe for a parent waiting for news on his child or something.
"Yeah," Joe says, going along with it.
Or, Joe doesn't believe in the soulmate, soulmark and souldbond concept. And of course the universe conspires to show him otherwise.

“I think I’m gay,” Harry had confessed, squeezed into Ginny’s single bed by her side. Her room was the only place in the cramped house where the two of them could find any privacy. Not that they’d made good use of it - Their physical relationship had never escalated beyond snogging, even before the spellshock had left them mentally distant from their bodily needs. Ginny had felt Harry tense up then, like he anticipated a blow of some sort at his confession.
“Yeah, me too,” Ginny admitted instead with a great exhale. “Or something like it.”

Yuuji’s eyes narrow and danger raises the hairs on the back of his neck. The situation has changed so suddenly, and definitely for the worse, and it bears down on him and sets his heart alight. Still, he refuses to back down.
"Why would you want to save me?"
"To appease my boredom," The curse answers easily with the gesture of an elegant wrist, "My normal sources of entertainment don't sate me the way they used to."

The Sith's wings are black and leathery over their twisted frame of off-white bone, oily black smoke clinging to their every movement. When his saber ignites, one wing lights too, the protective net of kyber energy crackling over the mutated appendage. Then, the second blade appears, and both wings flare a bright, bloody red.
Obi-Wan swallows his nervous gulps and lights his own saber. He doesn't have to look to know the blue energy has spread across his copper feathers, can feel it crackling and humming in the Force, where it is quickly accompanied by Qui-Gon's own green blade and shield.
He has a bad feeling about this.

With winter fast approaching, and the forest fighting their every move, Jaster isn't sure how the settlements of Concordia will last.
During a visit to a spring that helps heal Jaster's fae injury, he finds himself with company in a place he was sure that no one else knew of.
Obi-Wan meets Jaster in a place the man shouldn't know how to get to, with more questions than answers.
Slowly, Obi-Wan learns that everything they've been taught about the humans isn't how it seems.
When Obi-Wan is injured protecting Jaster—unable to return home—he learns that the tales of the humans told by the fae are only half the story.
