Eddie picked up a bad habit: He is cursing, in Spanish, at Buck, all the time. Until he isn't just cursing at him, expressing things he would never say out loud in English. But at the very least, Buck does not know what else he is saying in the language his partner doesn't understand. That way, Eddie doesn't have to worry about much of anything. Right?
Meanwhile, Buck tries his best to figure out how not to blurt out what he truly feels for Eddie. Because the moment he starts to talk, Buck knows he is done for.
Also: Buck adopts a cat.

Summary
Jaime Lannister, detective for the behavioral analysis department fallen from grace after a case gone wrong, is given a new assignment: A series of ritualistic murders relating to the Faith of the Seven, aimed at punishing sinners for their wrongdoings.
To help him catch the murderer, his boss enlists an expert of the Seven-Pointed Star as a consultant. Brienne of Tarth works at the convent of the Silent Sisters as a forensic pathologist and is one of the leading experts in the history of the Faith. She is not only set in her belief in the God's justice but also devoted to her mission of bringing justice to the dead.
Despite their disagreements, the two have to work together to catch the murderer before it's too late. Though the unusual pair soon has to see that they may share in more than meets the eye, some good, some bad, and some things that lie somewhere in-between.
And so, they embark on a most dangerous journey leading into the darkness lurking down below...

Summary
Jaime Lannister, against the odds of his injuries, survives the Red Keep's collapse.
This leaves not only him but many other people to deal with the aftermath of two queens fighting for the Iron Throne and so many losing because of it.
Foremost, it leaves Jaime to deal with his future, a future he thought he wouldn't ever have after what Brandon Stark said to him at Winterfell. And his future may come to affect those of many more people than he ever would have dared to believe. Yet, it leaves him to deal with his past, too. Because he left something behind at Winterfell, something very dear to him, and now that he survived, Jaime has to come to terms with the consequences of his choices.
And a whole nation has to decide on its own future, too.

“He shouldn’t have done that.” Eddie tells him softly, setting his bottle down. “I know what it’s like to feel so angry that you wanna hit stuff because I’ve done it, Buck.” He grabs Buck’s hand and squeezes it once, eye contact never faltering. “But, he had no reason to be that angry at you to punch you after trying to be a voice of reason. He’s your friend, and you shouldn’t be an enemy.”
Buck nods, understanding. He knew he shouldn’t have been hit, of course there shouldn’t have been no violence, but Eddie was right. He can’t fix a problem that doesn’t involve him.

Summary
After defending Thorin, Bilbo is captured by Azog, who is intrigued by the small, yet courageous creature. So much so, that the Pale Orc makes the Hobbit his mate, and Bilbo spends four months in the Misty Mountain's Orc caves while the rest of his company resume their journey, convinced the Hobbit is no longer alive. But when Azog leaves to kill the King under the Mountain and conquer Erebor, Bilbo manages to flee and reunite with his former companions.
The Dwarves, of course, are delighted to see their burglar again, however, they realize soon enough that Bilbo Baggins of Bag End would never return completely, and in his stead an Orc Lord came to their gates.Eventually bagginshield.
