Summary
Frank is, odd. With affection that is, in many other ways too but that’s a box Peter doesn’t feel like opening. He ridicules Peter, makes fun of him every chance he gets, which is very often. Claims he wants nothing more than for the younger spider to leave him alone. Then something strange happens, it’s like a light switch goes off and the older man will turn and say something sickly sweet or listen intently to him ramble on and on about science far beyond his knowledge. He will buy him food and leave it at his door when he knows Peter lost himself in his tinkering and forgot to eat. Then the names. All in one go the man will say something like,
“Hey fuckhead, you want bacon or sausage? I’m making waffles, you gotta eat baby.”
I mean what the hell is Peter supposed to take from that?
OR
Five different names of endearment that Frank uses on Peter, each name carving small cracks in his walls, cracks that let the kid in as much as he fights to stop it.
One time Peter gives up understanding the older man’s intentions and decides what he wants for himself.

Summary
Frank Castle knows exactly what to expect from Spider-Man: bad jokes, worse timing, and a stubborn refusal to stay out of his way. He doesn’t know his name, his face, or anything about the man beneath the mask, and he prefers it that way.
But when the same investigation keeps throwing them together, irritation starts becoming familiarity, and Frank begins noticing things about the man behind the mask he was never supposed to care about. And, somehow, irritation starts looking dangerously close to something else.

Summary
He remembered the first time he climbed through his window covered in blood and bruises in the middle of the night. Mouth tasting like copper, lip busted. As soon as he made it through the window, he tugged off his mask, breathing in the air.
When Frank found him, he stilled, jaw clenched, ready to tear him a new one, but instead went and grabbed the first aid kit. He dragged Peter to the bathroom and sat him on the counter.
Frank called him stupid. Reckless and selfish. His fingers squeezed too tight around Peter's wrists.
Peter didn't pull away. Frank's hands were always stained with blood, but Peter reached for them anyway. Those very hands were touching him now. Digging into his skin.

Spider-Man had one hand against the frame and the other pressed hard to his side, head bowed, shoulders pulled in tight around the pain, and for one second Frank took in the whole ugly picture at once: blood down one leg, more of it soaked dark into the suit around the ribs, a burn across the chest, one white lens cracked straight through.
Then Spider-Man’s arm buckled.

"If you're looking for a physics refresher to build bombs, this isn't super relevant." Peter takes a moment to think. "Actually, Units 5 and 6 could be helpful. You wanna stick around till then?"
"Huh," Frank says, spreading his legs a little, "Maybe I'm just here for the professor."
"This is my first semester of teaching, and I'm just an adjunct. Am I really that good?"
"Yeah," Frank replies, and he looks Peter up and down. "You're real good."

"Maybe they're like, clogged?" Frank said then, running a thumb over the spinneret. Peter froze, a shiver running up his spine. He pulled his arm away from Frank quickly, holding it with his other hand like it was hurt.
"Don't do that," Peter mumbled, biting his lip as he ran his own thumb over his wrist. It didn't feel like anything, just a small pressure like always. But when Frank had touched it… jesus, Peter was going insane.

“What a damn shame nobody took you home, huh? You look so needy, daffodil. Who would pass up such a pretty thing?” Frank mutters, dragging the barrel of the gun down his torso. Frank’s mouth curled into a sinister-looking smile. Peter felt bad for the alternate universe version of himself that wasn’t Spider-Man-who-knew-Frank-from-work but was just regular Peter Parker, getting picked up by this terrifying man, with no friends at the bar to help him. Well, a version of him that wasn’t Spider-Man probably had friends.
