Summary
Patrick always considered fame to be a good thing because it mean't money. Yet didn't feel terribly good now he had it though, as a matter of fact he felt rather anxious and scared because of it. It didn't fit together like he imagined - like it should but everyone else was happy maybe he just needed to change himself to be more like them. Maybe Patrick Stump couldn't be happy unless he wasn't Patrick Stump.

It all started out with Pete’s quarterly failure of the quarter term progress test accompanied by Patrick’s flying colours. Well rather it started with the subtle strategy of fulfilling a rather romantic joke and finding motivation. Honestly though, wasn’t supposed to lead to these feelings though.

Patrick’s tired.
He’s tired of the words, the kicks, the insults, the stares, the looks…he wants it all gone. He wants someone to hold him, to tell him everything's going to be okay, that he means more then what was whispered behind his back or what's littered on the school’s bashing page. He wants his mom...he wants Pete..., he just wants it all to stop ...
But, when the one person he believed in lashes out with alcohol tainted venom dripping from his tongue, the words ringing in his ears (“Just deal with it, Patrick”), Patrick takes matters into his own hands, and Pete is left to deal with the aftermath and the guilt.
Whoever said "True love makes everything better" needs to get punched in the throat for that lie.

Summary
Pete finally puts the pieces of the puzzle together when he happens to glimpse at Patrick's bare torso on the way back into the bathroom of their shared hotel room. Things escalate and truths are found out... with consequences.
