Summary
Over a year after Kyojuro’s death, Akaza cannot shake the feeling of having made a mistake by killing him. Curiosity draws him to the Rengoku Estate, where he discovers that Kyojuro has a younger brother. Naturally, he seizes the opportunity to have a different but surely equally skilled person to fight, and kidnaps Senjuro.
Upon discovering that Senjuro is not, in fact, a skilled fighter, hope and boredom compel Akaza to mould the boy into a worthy opponent. Senjuro, hopeful for a chance (however slim it might be) to avenge his brother, agrees to stay.
For the next two years, they form a bond based on tension, skill, growth, promises, and lies. In the end, their goals and futures will be forever changed by having known and cared for one-another.

Summary
Kyojuro kills demons for a cause and a living. It is, therefore, an unprecedented situation when a demon who acts more like a stray cat than a threat begins to follow him around, offer him “gifts”, and sleep on his futon.
A crack fic in which Akaza looks exactly like Akaza and isn’t actually a cat, but he might as well be, and none of us is gonna look too hard at logic. Senjuro becomes increasingly disturbed by bloodstains on Kyojuro’s bed, and Shinjuro has to watch a demon slowly push cups of Sake off the table while maintaining eye contact with him.

The position as much as the words… Akaza stared up at him, jaw flexing and loosening around the fingers still hooked in his mouth. Possessiveness gripped Akaza like a starved dog. Slowly, he bit down harder — just shy of breaking bone — while swallowing the mess of blood and saliva in his mouth. Unflinching, Kyojuro met his eyes with resolve.
There was something deeper there … Like Kyojuro was challenging the very writing in Akaza’s eyes for ownership of the demon they laid claim to. “Do you understand?”

Summary
The first tear shone in the dark like a diamond, sparkling on Akaza’s cheek as the demon gasped and choked back a sob.
“You’re killing me, Kyojuro,” the words left him in a whisper.
Kyojuro drew back a little and watched his face closely, the way the tear finally fell and rolled down the side of his face, soon joined by others.
“I am killing you,” he acknowledged, a fact, a threat, a promise.
Kyojuro died at the Infinity Train. It should have been the end of his story. Somehow, it was not.
