Summary
Over a year after Kyojuro’s death, Akaza cannot shake the feeling of having made a mistake by killing him. Curiosity draws him to the Rengoku Estate, where he discovers that Kyojuro has a younger brother. Naturally, he seizes the opportunity to have a different but surely equally skilled person to fight, and kidnaps Senjuro.
Upon discovering that Senjuro is not, in fact, a skilled fighter, hope and boredom compel Akaza to mould the boy into a worthy opponent. Senjuro, hopeful for a chance (however slim it might be) to avenge his brother, agrees to stay.
For the next two years, they form a bond based on tension, skill, growth, promises, and lies. In the end, their goals and futures will be forever changed by having known and cared for one-another.

Summary
Kyojuro kills demons for a cause and a living. It is, therefore, an unprecedented situation when a demon who acts more like a stray cat than a threat begins to follow him around, offer him “gifts”, and sleep on his futon.
A crack fic in which Akaza looks exactly like Akaza and isn’t actually a cat, but he might as well be, and none of us is gonna look too hard at logic. Senjuro becomes increasingly disturbed by bloodstains on Kyojuro’s bed, and Shinjuro has to watch a demon slowly push cups of Sake off the table while maintaining eye contact with him.

He was supposed to be dead. His story was supposed to have been finished. But now, as he sat bound and gagged, looking up at the same demon who’d tried to send him to his eternal grave … he was positive things were only going to get worse for him. Why was this demon so surprised to see him though? And why was he so hesitant to accept Kyojuro as the perverse sort of gift he was being offered as?

Summary
A narrow strip of sunlight filtered in from between where the cheap motel curtains met, and Nines watched it venture a path across the small room for a couple hours before Gavin stirred. Nines could go weeks without stasis if he needed to, so a single night awake to watch over Gavin was no sacrifice.
Nines saved the image of Gavin’s face, placid and relaxed with sleep, and the feeling of the man against him. He doubted the opportunity would come again, and he wanted to keep this memory, just for himself.
Gavin shifted some more, and swallowed after a groggy sniffle. Nines sighed, and braced for the shitstorm that would be making landfall at any moment.

Gavin took a deep breath. In a former life, this information could have made his career. In this life though… It’s a good thing none of it was his fucking business.
He reapplied his tourniquet, checked to make sure the drug in his syringe was still good, and guided the needle into his vein. He exhaled a long and satisfied breath when the warm, fuzzy waves wiped his stress away.
Detroit’s drug problems were no longer his problem. Well… he chuckled at the irony, because they were, more than ever, his problem… but the DPD and their “war on drugs” and whatever lives might be at stake… none of that mattered any more.
It was not his problem.

The dating app was supposedly the best of the best for matching people who were made for one another, and boasted incredible reviews from happy couples. Connor and his date hadn’t seen one another, not even in pictures, or heard each other’s voices. They didn’t even know one-another’s names.
They’d agreed through type, in one of their many conversations over the past week and a half, that the prospect of a truly blind date held an appealing excitement and intrigue. Such meetings were so rare nowadays, and they’d both embraced the mystery of it.
Connor hadn’t considered the possibility that it may alternatively prove to be a disastrous disadvantage, in an event like this, where he and his “blind date” were already well acquainted, and bitterly so.

Sixty grabbed Gavin’s ankle, yanking it toward himself and causing the restraints on Gavin’s arms to snap tight. It put pressure on the human’s abdomen, a sharp cry of pain escaping him. “Yeah,” Sixty grinned, “I don’t think that’s any way to address your superior.”
Connor stood by, doing nothing to stop his brothers.
If Gavin had been bright enough to read the situation, who knows how differently things might have gone. Not surprisingly, anger won over critical thinking. “My superior?! Connor isn’t my superior!”
Nines’ hand reached out, gently cupping the human’s cheek and Gavin’s brows furrowed, startled and confused. “Ohh,” Nines purred with a tone Gavin was ashamed to know immediately that he could get lost in, “...but he is. We all are.”
