Before death comes knocking at her door, she gets saved by someone she least expects: Astarion the Governor of Baldur's Gate, and the resident Ascendant Vampire himself. As Xalena recovers from her near-death experience, she notices Astarion isn't quite the bloodthirsty tyrant she assumed he would become. Is it possible that the man she used to love is still there?
