‘Cole felt like he was dreaming, walking through a thick haze, senses dulled to a deafening numbness. He couldn't feel anything. He saw leaves rustling, but he couldn't feel the breeze. He could barely feel the ground under his feet.’
I was blown away by the love I received for my recent angsty ball of Ninjago fanfiction; Just Breathe. So I wrote another one, this time focused on Cole’s time as a ghost. While Cole takes centre stage, there is plenty of Lloyd/Morro angst and Jay/Nya/Nadakhan angst mixed in.
The fic spans from the start of S5 until post S7. It is canon compliant, but focusing on the times in between. S6 in particular is treated from the team’s perspective, so skipped over completely (although the events are eventually discussed).
TW: There is violence, but it is only slightly worse than what you would expect in canon. There is discussions of rape. The rape itself isn’t graphically described, but it comes up multiple times. I will put an author’s note at the start of each chapter that is relevant.- Language:

Summary
Zane's life hasn't been the best recently. Pixal is still missing, and the other ninja have way too many problems to do anything about it. To top it off, The Administration still won't leave him alone.
When they finally get a hold of him, Zane has to struggle between keeping his identity, or slipping into an old, familiar one he knows all too well.
