Summary
Several years after the first outbreaks, Husk finds himself in a situation he'd never have foreseen: standing outside the ruins of the San Diego quarantine zone, holding the hand of a four-year-old girl, and knowing that her entire future is in his hands. Summary
Angel gave up redemption, the hotel, and everything he had been working towards. He is given an hour of peace, then its right back into the grind. Only this time he has no where to go home to besides the studio.
Except, things are different this time. After Vox's attack on heaven and the devastation of hell, everyone left working for the Vees are unsure what to do. And the ones contracted to them are terrified of what will happen to them. It was rare for anyone to work for the Vees for longer than a few years. A handful made it to a decade before they were thrown out or, in recent times, killed outright.
This makes Angel Dust different. To survive the power shift, eyes fall to him for guidence. And Angel isn't able to sucumb to apathy. He has no choice but to help.
“There ain’t a way to help someone like me. I’m at the bottom of a deep well I dug for myself. You can throw down rope or offer a hand, but I’m the only one who can climb out. And for a long time I didn’t want to. Even if I did, it doesn’t always work. Sometimes I slipped. Sometimes I fell back in. Sometimes I jumped. Every time, it's still gotta be me that climbs out. It's gotta be me that chooses to stay out.”

Husker has been more stoic than brash, more inclined to wear a poker face than a manic grin since nearly losing his soul to the Radio Demon. It’s suited him just fine in the 20 years since! The average sinner knows not to cheat or steal from him, knows the stories of his aggressive past, and knows the number one rule of The Stardust Hotel & Casino is "don’t fuck with the Gambling Demon."
After a particularly infuriating incident involving Valentino trying to do business in his establishment with a dubiously consenting whore, followed by the coincidentally inconvenient loss of his lounge act, Husker caves to Valentino’s request for a poker game, hoping to humiliate and annoy him by winning his studio. But plans change when someone with a Hell of a persona seems all too eager to help him cheat.

Angel isn’t convinced he deserves redemption, and the Hazbin Hotel’s methods of getting him clean are grossly ineffective despite Charlie's best efforts. Unexpected help comes in the form of the tech Overlord Vox, though his motives are far from pure.
Meanwhile, Alastor has a misunderstanding about his rival's intentions, and Valentino doesn't know what's going on, until he does.

After the events of the newscast “promoting” the hotel, highlighting the turf war more than Charlie’s project, a very unhappy pimp learns what his star employee has been up to when not under his watchful gaze. Threatening to pull Angel Dust from the program, and much worse if he even thinks of defying the Overlord, Valentino offers a compromise to the Princess of Hell. However he never dreamed she’d actually take him up on it.
Val’s about to learn that the princess takes after her parents more than most of the denizens of Hell realize; not taking *any* shit from other demons, and being able to put on one helluva show!
