“She’s such a quiet baby.”
“That’s good right? She’s happy.” Chimney hadn’t ever thought about it before, hadn’t noticed until just now really that Jee-Yun is on the quiet side for an infant. She still cried when she needed food or a change, and he hadn’t found her lack of general crankiness to be concerning. It’s not like she was lethargic or anything, but maybe Maddie’s right and they should get her checked out. Just in case.
“Yeah." Maddie agrees, but it rings hollow, "So happy.”

Buck cautiously peers into the small opening, catching a glimpse of Eddie staring at himself in the mirror, fingers gripping the edge of the porcelain sink as he shakes his head and says, “I can’t believe I’m in love with a Buckley.”
It's a miracle Buck doesn’t pass out on the spot.
He takes a stumbling step back into Eddie’s room, somehow managing to close the door quietly in his haze. Although it’s entirely possible that he just slammed it because he can’t hear anything over the whooshing in his ears.
He doesn’t know how he didn’t see it before.
Eddie is in love with Maddie.

"Buck steps aside and opens the door wider. Maddie steps inside her brother’s loft, expecting the same empty and cold atmosphere she was used to. Instead, the lighting was warmer, Eddie was standing by the fridge, the air smelled of food, there was music playing, and Eddie was standing by the fridge.
'Hey, Eddie. Didn’t see you back there.'
Eddie waves his hand slightly, 'Hey, Maddie.'
Maddie whips back around to face Buck, questioning eyes and only somewhat fake smile on her face, and repeats, 'So I am interrupting something.'"
