Summary
He feels… calm. He has saved Mav, and that bastard will be able to find a way home by stealing a jet or something like that. They have accomplished the mission successfully, and he may finally see his parents after so many years. Maybe he will meet Ice too, and he will definitely ask him why he and Mav won’t make each other happier.
The only thing he may regret is that he will never have the chance to taste that cigarette Hangman mentioned.
Rooster closes his eyes and lets the force pull him to the dark.
After Rooster's jet gets hit, he opens his eyes to see his dad and Mav standing in front of him, in their twenties and definitely alive.
Or, Rooster goes back to 1986, saves his parents, helps two idiots get together, and realizes his feeling for another idiot.

Sie hatten sich zwei Hotelzimmer gebucht, in dem kleinen Ort, in dem Thiel früher mit seinen Eltern häufig gewesen war. Boerne hatte sich bereit erklärt, die Organisation für sie beide zu übernehmen – was Thiel vor allem darauf zurückführte, dass Boerne wahrscheinlich Angst hatte, die Zimmerwahl würde sonst nicht seinen eigenen Ansprüchen gerecht werden.
Thiel und Boerne verbringen ein verlängertes Wochenende an der Nordsee und es kommt, wie es kommen muss ... ;)

Dass Franz Leitmayr und Ivo Batic eine Freundschaft verbindet, wie es keine Zweite gibt, ist Christine Lerch (so wie dem Rest des Münchner Polizeipräsidiums) sehr wohl bekannt. Trotzdem kommt sie nicht umhin sich zu wundern, als Franz sie kurz vor Valentinstag um einen ungewöhnlichen Gefallen bittet.
Sie musste es laut aussprechen, um es selbst überhaupt zu glauben. „Ich soll dir helfen… ein Profil auf einer Dating-App einzurichten, damit du ein Date für den Valentinstag findest, um eine Wette gegen Ivo zu gewinnen?“
