Mikey loved to paint. He loved to spray bright colors and designs onto the walls of their lair, it always made the place feel more alive.
Though after Shredder, and especially after the Kraang, it became more of an outlet than pure, creative fun. His mind became an artistic mess of emotions that he just had to paint, even the ones he didn’t want his brothers to see. He didn’t want his brothers to realize exactly how much everything affected him but…maybe they didn’t have to.
After running out of places to paint, Mikey gets an idea: why doesn’t he go topside?
He just wanted more places to spray paint and express the thoughts in his head, he never intended to become a famous anonymous artist practically overnight! Mikey may be named after a famous artist, but that doesn’t mean he’s used to fame himself.
He really hopes Raph doesn’t find out about this.

Raph was used to being the biggest.
He had always been larger than his siblings, growing at a much faster rate than they did. He was also almost the same height as Splinter, who was the biggest real life person he knew (Lou Jitsu was probably waaaayyy taller than his rat father).
He had grown up in his home being the big brother, the brother who was the biggest, so now, lost and all alone in the sewer, Raph felt something he had never felt before.

Raph and Mikey venture into the sewers alone and end up getting separated. Raph finds he has a bit of an extreme reaction to finding himself all alone.

Splinter watched as the building began to collapse between himself and the small box turtle he could no longer see, the small infant's cries drowning out in favor of the roaring flames around the man. Three little cries from his arms made him look down and he bit back a sob as he ran towards to exit of the lab.
Big Mama looked down at the toddler in her arms before glancing back up at Draxum's waiting hands. "He is mine now," she said simply, turning away from the Baron as she cradled the sleepy turtle who's DNA was the same as her dear Lou's. Looking down at his small face, she knew she would treat him better. She wouldn't make the same mistake twice.
Or Mikey gets left behind with Draxum, but Big Mama steals him away. Based on peachyyp13's videos on TikTok where Big Mama adopted Mikey and raised him like the feral, little prince he is.
