Aventurine and Ratio enter a pocket dimension sealed within a Curio, seeking the treasure rumored to be inside. According to the intel Ratio's team gathered, it was hidden behind a series of trials, meant to test the bond between two people. Sure, Aventurine couldn't say for certain whether Ratio even liked him, but they could've never made it as far as they have as business partners without some degree of trust and cooperation, right?
By the time he realizes how utterly twisted the Curio is, it's already too late to back out. He and Ratio are trapped, at the mercy of the long-dead maniac who created this room, and it's going to take every ounce of strength they have to survive.

Ratio’s frown deepened, an embarrassed expression trying to take over his face. But, Ratio managed to keep his composer nonetheless.
“I… tripped.”
Or; Aventurine drives Dr. Ratio up the mountainside for his expedition to study the effects of aphrodisiac production from an invasive species--that causes things to go south, very quickly.

Summary
Arius-III, a primarily water-based planet that held a frigid climate due to its distance from the sun. Frigid seas and turbulent mountains made up the vast majority of what it had to offer. Landmasses were far and few between, but technological advances led to the formation of manmade structures to allow life to flourish. The vast resources within the world's oceans, ranging from minerals and oils to an abundance of aquatic life, made it an appealing place to study.
The artificial island of Insel Null served as a landing point for those who arrived from beyond the skies and other parts of the world. LeMu, the large attraction built far under the sea's surface, doubles as both a theme park and a resort for tourists. A fourth floor unlisted to the public contains a research facility for studies and experimentation.
This is where Dr Ratio and Aventurine find themselves after recovering from the events of Penacony.

“Aventurine,” Ratio says, gravely, “The piercing is on my penis.”
And purely because he wouldn’t have risen to the heights of luxury without being utterly shameless, he has the gall to request, “...Show me anyway?”
It is, indeed, a very shameless request to ask of someone. Luckily for him, as it always is, Ratio doesn’t quite mind; whether that was because it didn’t matter where piercings were done, art is art and all that, or that he just drank enough glasses of wine to give him liquid courage. Both possibilities are entirely debatable. He hesitates for a second though, yet ultimately decides the best course of action was to begin tugging down the gray sweatpants, letting it pool around his knees.
Fuck it, he might as well drool.
Ratio has a few secrets up his sleeve, on his back, and inside his pants. All in the name of simply appreciating the aesthetics of body art, a gallery of ink painted on flesh and precious gold etched within it, while spreading knowledge along the cosmos.

"Like I said, I never expected you to be a fan of Miss Robin's music, Madam." Aventurine says, good-natured.
He hadn't taken care to know Pearl very well- then again, he hadn't taken care to know any of the Stonehearts well, considering they all had their own opinions of him. Fine by him. But Pearl was a different case- ever since he had noted her support for him during the trial, he had taken care to show her some form of camaraderie as thanks. The trial may have been a show as Sugilite had so cleverly elaborated, but Pearl's reasoning was one close to Aventurine's own heart. He hadn't expected it from the seemingly cold-hearted Intellitron woman, who only ever communicated in terms of boring reports and meaningless numbers.
But...looking at the smile on her face as she held up the paper that bore Robin's signature- well, Aventurine was allowed to be mistaken, sometimes, wasn't he? Life would be boring if he was right all the time, after all.
Or- Aventurine takes the time to understand a certain coworker a little.

Ratio glared. “I can out you for your offense if you want to try, Aventurine.”

In which the IPC just can’t seem to convince Veritas Ratio to join the Intelligentsia Guild, so they deploy Aventurine to a tiny university city-state, where he must charm the good doctor into their fold.

Summary
Aventurine is stuck in a time loop on the day of his “death.”
After forty cycles of failed attempts to get time moving forward, he decides to take a break from solving the mystery and blow off a little steam with Ratio. But the doctor’s reaction to what Aventurine intends to be a casual hook-up raises deep issues for both of them and ends up dragging Ratio into the time loop.
To break free, they will have to cooperate. Productive communication, however, turns out to be a much bigger challenge than the time loop itself.
