It was like buttercup yellow, which Marvin said should incite happiness but instead led Trina to a state of internal contention. The patterns weren’t evenly aligned, as if the person who had applied it was in a state of mild drunkenness. If Trina had just enough wine in the morning before waking Marvin, she might be able to see the rounded pattern as perfectly straight.
