Diluc gives Bennett a moment to think on that, and then the boy nods, just as Diluc knew he would.
“You see the act of using your Pyro abilities as entwined with your fighting,” he states. “Which is why you’re only capable of short bursts and slashes right now. But when I cover my own blade in flames outside of battle, I’m not thinking about the sword. I’m thinking about the fire itself. Sustaining the fire on its own is the first step."

It was only after Bennett turned the corridor when he noticed that something was wrong. Those were ruins. Ancient ones at that. And so they should be protected by some machines…
Suddenly he heard a rustle in the bushes. He jumped, his head whipping to look in that direction. He released a breath when he noticed a lizard just shuffling through the leaves. It’s just my imagination, he thought to himself. Just my imagination.
But then he heard an all too familiar grunt.
He quickly turned around and saw a Ruin Hunter floating just behind him.
Or. Bennett goes on his first trip to Liyue, but his bad luck doesn't want to leave him. Fortunately, he stumbles upon two strangers who are willing to make his day a little bit better.

He feels shitty now, because that stupid overheating feeling hasn’t gone away and its getting annoying. There's ringing in his ears. It’s only a matter of time before that becomes overwhelming too, so he thinks its best he stays in his room for the rest of the day.
Human interaction doesn’t sound very good to him anymore.
