Steve has been trying to regain control of his life for years now.
Too bad that there were always pieces of him being blown into the wind, some lost forever, others he were still trying to find.
And when he thinks he'd finally finished collecting every part of himself that had been scattered during the last life-altering event, all it takes is one or two comments that mildly imply something more about himself, then suddenly he's back to square one.
Steve doesn't quite know who he is, or who he's supposed to be, and is once again force to let life take his course and just hope that he'll able to take who he wants along for the ride.

In hindsight, Eijrou probably should have put it together sooner. It should have occurred to him long before he put on his best tie and followed the map directions to a four-star restaurant that there’s really only one person both Midoriya and Bakugou would gun for like that. One single mutual friend to set their only other single mutual friend up with. Someone they didn’t need to describe to Eijirou. Someone he very clearly knows.
And yet, when he walks into the velvet gilded lobby to find Todoroki Shouto in a turtleneck, his first thought is surely not.
(or: two years after graduation, kirishima and todoroki reunite unexpectedly on a blind date. this won't be awkward at all... right?)
