Summary
When the house of Fëanor is banished to Formenos after Fëanor points a sword at Fingolfin, Finwë doesn't go into exile with his eldest son, as many in Tirion thought he would do. Instead, he spends years planning how to put an end to the feud between Fëanor and Fingolfin, and comes to the conclussion that the best way to do it is to arrange a family dinner and announce his intention to marry Fëanor's eldest son to Fingolfin's eldest daughter without consulting anyone beforehand. Will his plan work, or will it just break the family further?

Year 800 of the Second Age. Maglor still wanders Middle-earth's shores, tormented by grief and the sea's cruel promises. Each attempt to end his suffering fails. The Sea always spits him back out, offering only fleeting moments of the Music of the Ainur.
During his latest attempt to end his life, he hears a familiar voice singing in the depths.
Meanwhile, in Valinor, Finrod, newly re-embodied, struggles with feeling like a stranger in his homeland, with guilt over past choices, the weight of being among the first to return from Beleriand, and the fear that he might have lost Amarië’s love.
After a disastrous breakfast with new and old family members, he finds himself at the haven of Alqualondë, where he pours his sorrow into a Song of Power, unaware that his song reaches his cousin for a few precious seconds.

Summary
In a language that does not belong to our world, the forest is called Andorotaurë, a forest of gates. Lily is blissfully unaware of this and thinks it is just a Finnish word. Once she arrives at the estate hidden in the depths of the forest, she realises there is more at play than she expected. From the start, everything has been strange, she inherited the house from a relative she had never met, and it feels as if every room and corridor is hiding something just beyond her sight. When one night an accident occurs that leaves her no option but to trust these weird fae-like creatures that she is unable to properly communicate with, the only thing she can do is hope everything will be better soon and that she will not get killed before that time.
Or, a few of Tolkien's elves end up in our modern world, but nothing goes the way it is supposed to due to language barriers, fear and the fact the 3C are not always the best at handling certain matters such as scared human girls.

He tries to avoid his own people. There are other elf-spirits here too, the hosts of his father still, and the host of each doomed son, but they are faint, indistinct things, not quite close enough to touch. He does not want to see them, and shifts away at each approach, and they fade further from his view, blending into the grey walls of Mandos, hazy echoes of what had been and what might be. He would be the same to them, he has gathered, and thought better of it; he does not want to exist, to them. He does not want to exist, at all. His heart is gone, and his mind has gone with it, all frozen over by the gnashing, vicious ice, the deadened sky, his dead son. Dead. One, one, likely all. They are all dead. That is why they are here.
And then Fingon appears, bleeding and blazing and broken, the fire melting away the ice coating his heart and unlatching each lock, and Fingolfin is a father again.

Aranya Estiel is a tiny, sassy, ethically dubious healer in the House of Nolofinwë. Maitimo is a sensitive sweetheart, and she must protect him at all costs. Where other healers get frustrated with Aranya for being uninterested in following the rules, and a little too interested in seeing action, this may make her perfectly equipped to follow Maitimo through the grisly violence he endures in Middle-Earth.
This fic is comprised of multi-chapter "arcs" or sub-storylines, separated by interludes. It goes from Maitimo and Aranya's youth in Valinor through the Darkening and flight of the Noldor. The story will continue past that point, but probably in a second and third book.
This fic is also predominated by hurt/comfort. If you like hurt/comfort, this is the fic for you.

Nihal had not even gone too far from the coast before she was pulled under by an unnatural current. She did not have time to cry for help, and her goggles did not help her find her way back to the surface either. It was dark and silent for a long, long time until she opened her eyes again at another time and another place, in a body that was not her own. In a world which she had always known to be that of fiction.
She was a complete stranger now. A stranger to this new world and the people around her. And most importantly, a stranger to herself. Turns out, the perspective of an outsider was exactly what Ulmo believed this world needed to prove the others wrong.
Follow Nihal in her journey across the First Age as she struggles to find her place in this alien world as Eärien, and navigates through the frustrating elvish, human, and dwarven politics in hopes of accomplishing the mission that Ulmo had thrust upon her. She will need not only her prior knowledge of the books but also her wit and non-existent survival skills.
