But the thing about caring was, it never really went away. He cared a lot about his sisters, and was doing his best to be a good brother. He cared about the kids that hung around the abandoned house, cared about his couple of friends. And Langa.. Langa who was an additional villain and an additional savior in the story of Reki's life. He couldn't stop caring about Langa, even if he resented him. For leaving, for being better than he could ever be, and for coming back..
