Chuuya, restless after a mission, steps outside for a smoke. Dazai, in a moment of characteristic audacity, demands a taste, not of the cigarette, but of the smoke. Through Chuuyaʼs lips.

But Tartah had stayed, stubbornly, no matter how Custas tried to scare him off. He had fretted over his condition and, when Custas kept snapping at him, had lifted his own left arm to show off the seal emblazoned on it.
"See?" He had said, with a tired whisper of a smile. "I'll never be able to lie to you again. That means we can be friends again, right?"
Custas hadn't answered, just stared blankly.
After the events of Silver Eve, Custas and Tartah lean away from everything else and lean into each other.

"That's very considerate of you, Chuuya." Dazai says pleasantly, but he wraps his hands around the cup and doesn't drink from it. "I really don't—"
"I know what you want," Chuuya snarls. He's angry. He's been angry, actually, since the door. "Drink the goddamn tea."

Chuuya is having a good day, till he is not. Dazai is having a bad day, till he is...well, he might still be having a bad day.

His fingers close in around the metalic handle, pulling it out of the holster almost teasingly. “Whenever you decide to stop being a lazy piece of shit and actually help with fighting, you always take one of the enemies’ guns. Sometimes you take them back with you as souvenirs, I’ve noticed. You wouldn't have had the time to snatch this before we got ambushed, and you were using it while we were running. This is yours.”

Summary
And power, Dazai knows, is an odd thing for the slug. He likes it, he’s good with it. But it leaves him lonely. That’s what happens when you’re ungrounded. Able to go up and up and up, unbound by gravity. But above, where no one else can follow, all you’ll find is solitude. How ironic for Dazai’s isolating ability to bring him down, away from that, and back to him.
Or, a study in power, the tendency to dehumanise it, and one guy who is just really really weird about it.

Summary
“I hate you,” Chuuya mutters angrily, his voice almost shrieking at the end. His eyes roam over Dazai’s face, not finding a spot where to stop.
He wonders how he looks, all red and beaten. He wonders if Chuuya likes his work. He has to. He used to.
“No, you don’t,” Dazai calls the bluff. There’s a rasp in his voice that he expects, but there’s also a desperation he didn’t think would be there.
Chuuya huffs a curt, rough sound, his eyes finally settling on Dazai’s lips. Not eyes, he thinks to himself. Perhaps some things did change over these years. His hand slides from the abused cheek, opening the skin for the coolness of the air. It slips down and settles at the base of Dazai’s neck.
Then comes gentleness. Another thing that he didn’t expect. He doesn’t squeeze, just holds it there, and then—
“No, I don’t,” Chuuya whispers back, and that’s when his eyes land back on Dazai’s.
OR
Chuuya is furious that Dazai went to meet Fyodor again and nearly died in the process. He’s determined to make it clear that he’s the one to kill Dazai.
