The vast sky of stars knew Ao’nung couldn’t be perfect forever, and after years of partnership, Neteyam’s time was running out.

Summary
With the shallow grief of leaving behind his people still raw in his mind, Neteyam arrives at the Metkayina reef. Neteyam’s inability to match his father’s skill only deepens his resentment towards the metkayina people and their judgements, while Ao’nung continues to mock him, igniting a simmering tension that will only continue to grow.

Summary
His hair fell out of its characteristic bun. Curls tumbled in lush strands upon his shoulders, soaked through with the water’s depths. His eyes, painted teal, mixed in with the sunlight’s rays to catch the reflection of the lapping waves, which doused the sand within its froth. The sun’s gleam caught within his pupil, illuminated all the more by the toothy grin that spilled aimlessly across his face. A man, framed by nature’s brushstrokes herself.
“Neteyam, your family would be so happy to see you. I’m so happy to-”
Ao’nung’s graceless smile faltered then. His teal eyes widened as he took Neteyam's sight in his entirety.
“Neteyam. Your kuru-”

After the events of the Three Brothers Rocks, Neteyam is saved by Varang and is awoken in the Mangkwan clan, yet he is resigned to a fate worse than death. The sky people have cut off his kuru and shot a bullet through his chest. They have taken everything from him, and Neteyam will stop at nothing until they feel the exact pain and misery that courses through him.
However, oceans away, Ao’nung cannot stop lingering on the supposedly deceased Omatikaya forest boy who arrived at Awa’atlu a few months ago.

Summary
Mostly follows the story line of way of water and a bit of fire and ash except its only focused on Neteyam and Ao'nung but i changed things to make them in a relation ship.
Ao'nung's upset when the Sully's arrive at Awa'atlus doorstep and he's forced to teach them along with his sister at first a=until he warms up. But when Neteyam is admiring Tsireya (in a non-romantic way) he misunderstands and struggles with understanding why that upsets him so much. Finally when they admit their love after many difficulties they've already lost the love race to time and the poison of the RDA's heart.

Summary
Neteyam and his family seek 'uturu' far away from their home. Metkayina's breath-taking reefs are supposed to be their new place to live. Running away from war is something Neteyam can't undestand but has to listen to his parents and hide all the things he wants to say.

"Son," Jake tried again, his voice a whisper as he ignored the jeering of Quaritch beside him and the frenzy of the Mangkwan. The only thing that mattered to him was his son. "Please, you have to remember. It's me, Jake, your dad. And those are your brother's, Lo'ak and Spider, and your sisters, Kiri and Tuk."
Neteyam's hand momentarily stilled, putting a stop to the sacrificial markings he had been painting across Jake's skin. The conflict on his face was impossible to hide, physically paining Jake when he couldn't reach out to embrace his son and tell him that everything would be okay.
"I don't--"
"Bro," Lo'ak cut him off, pleading as he fought against his restraints. "We have to get out of here, it's not safe. We can explain everything to you once we get back."
"No," he quickly hissed, shooting down anyone else who dared to speak against him. Before handing off the wooden bowl of paint and storming away, Neteyam seethed, "I am the son of Varang, and my place is with the Mangkwan. I don't know who any of you are."
or... Neteyam couldn't remember anything except his name and the voices of his past. Luckily, he had Varang and the Mangkwan to guide him through it.
