Kaeya paused, his shirt halfway over his head. “Why’s that?” He yanked the shirt off and turned around to face the alchemist.
Albedo sighed, breaking eye contact and fidgeting with his gloves. “I’m sure you’re aware that my master did not create me with good intentions in mind. If…if I turn out to be like her…can I rely on you to stop me?”

This job will prove to be not as easy as past investigations, however, as this serial killer seems to also be a cannibal, incredibly intelligent, and possibly Lance's new boyfriend Keith. Drama and tension rise as he dives deeper and deeper into figuring out who this killer is.

“Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”
“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

Tommy looked back around the room. “Out of the whole temple, you wanna sit next to me?”
The man nodded. “I like company when I pray.” Tommy tried not to twist his face into something wretched, so he just looked down and scooted over. The man slid over, holding his hand out. “I’m Wilbur.”
Tommy did not take the hand. “Uh… Tommy.”
Wilbur nodded, turning back to face the statue, a look of reverence on his face.

Summary
A routine mission to deal with a small time group of thieves goes south when Tommy finds himself in the middle of a Syndicate operation. Thieves or not, people were in danger and Tommy was a hero.
Hopelessly outmatched Tommy intervenes, handing an even better prize to the Syndicate on a silver platter. But before the Syndicate’s most sadistic leader can turn his latest catch into another pawn in his game, said sidekick throws himself in harm's way in order to save the villain's life.
The Syndicate always repays its debts, even to heroes. A life for a life. But this victory for Order came at the cost of the Syndicate’s claim on one unaware sidekick. And no one escapes the Syndicate.
