It’s on a foggy night on the balcony of the Gold Saucer’s hotel that Cloud receives his first kiss.
It embarrasses him, that it had to happen this way, that he didn’t get to say a word, that it wasn’t out of his initiation. He’s embarrassed that it wasn’t just him and her, embarrassed that everyone had to know. He’s embarrassed that his breath probably didn’t smell good, and his hair was probably messy, and he didn’t have his gloves on and he couldn’t put his hands on her face and he couldn’t even stand up.
Though it’s obvious to everyone but her that he’s the most embarrassed about the fact that he liked it.
And somewhere deep in the back of his mind, he wishes that he was turned into a frog earlier
