    It was a question of distraction. Humans needed to have more than one thing going on in their lives, not because it made them more productive but because it made them less. Captain Samuel Vimes had proven himself to be extremely efficient when he put his mind to it, and The Patrician was not amused. Oh, it was all well and good now, this time, when he was the one who benefited from these aptitudes, but there was bound to be a time in the future when Samuel Vimes would be a problem. When that happened he would need something in his life besides The Watch.

    Samuel Vimes did not have hobbies, outside of drinking, and he appeared to be giving that up in favor of doing his job. The horror. He had no living family, and the only friends the Captain appeared to have were his coworkers.

    Something would have to be done.

    "You are in luck, my friend!" said the man, pleased. "I am not paid a single credit to be your host. I'm a slave."
     

    Baze is on security detail on a luxury Hutt transport when he meets the worst sex slave in the galaxy. Weirdly, not actually an AU.

    Stede's birthday is coming up and all he really wants is a pirate themed party. His boyfriend thinks he's being childish and stupid. The handsome stranger in the cake aisle disagrees.

    “Pirates, is it?”

    “Please don’t tease. I really don’t think I can handle any more ridicule today.”

    “Shit, no I didn’t mean it like that. I’m a bit of a pirate nerd myself. Can I show you something?” He began unbuttoning his dress shirt before Stede could form the words to answer.

    “What are you doing?” he started to ask, trailing off quickly as his mouth went dry at the sight of the man’s bare chest where he had pulled his undershirt all the way up. Stede was too distracted to finish speaking by the overall impression: a canvas of ink covered skin, muscular and soft in all the right places, a tantalizing trail of dark hair leading Stede’s eyes down, down…

    Fuck. Focus, Bonnet.

    He dragged his focus back to the inked images which were surely the point of this man’s public indecency.

    “So, do you throw personalized birthday parties for all of your patrons, or just the ones you show your tits to in the grocery store?”
