Summary
Vincent Whittman was the god of entertainment, but it seemed that Alastor Toussaint was a nonbeliever.
New Orleans, 1957: NYC media mogul Vincent Whittman is looking to extend his empire, and he's heard good things about a certain bright young man who is reviving the glory days of radio down in Louisiana. Determined to replicate that success, he pays a visit to the offices of 93.3 KYLL-FM to meet the host — who seems wholly unimpressed by his power and fame, and his offer to let Alastor share in it. Determined not to be outshone by the proclaimed prince of radio, Vincent says he'll just buy the station for himself and make Alastor his employee. Al doesn't like that. He decides that perhaps Vincent Whittman needs to return to New York City — in a body bag. But things take a turn when the god of entertainment proves he's not just a handsome face and charming voice.

Summary
Because of a childhood marked by extreme religious rules, Vincent sees faith as a powerful tool of control. With that belief in mind, he sets himself a goal: to use the growing popularity of television to reach the top and build a media empire. Built on blood, if necessary.
His greatest inspiration and current obsession is the late radio broadcaster and serial killer Alastor Hartfelt. What he admires most about him is the ability he demonstrated in life to captivate his audience while concealing his true nature.
After making certain discoveries and hoping to accelerate his own plans, Vincent decides to follow in Alastor's footsteps and make a deal with a demon. Things become complicated when he discovers that the creature he summoned is Alastor himself. Now he will have to learn to live alongside the man he has always admired while trying to make his ambitions a reality.

Summary
Alastor's no longer in his prime but he isn't going to let that slow him down or stop him from his wants, needs and desires even if its beginning to wear on him. He is a man of many and a known staple in New Orleans but only for what he used to show and not what truly lurks in the shadows. Unfortunately it looks as if he's picked up a puppy who doesn't seem to want to leave him be even when the mask is hung for the night which proves rather agitating until he realizes this new devotee could be put to some use and is more than willing to oblige whatever sick or twisted order the older man needs from him. Maybe having some renewed life around his rather repetitive and dull schedule will give this old man the fire that was doused so many years back.

Summary
The year is 1955, and Vincent Whittman's life is perfect. Skilled, ambitious, and deadly in more than a metaphorical way, he's poised to take the world by storm. His ratings are rising, he's loved by everyone around him, he's getting a pay raise, and as long as he doesn't think too hard about how much he hates, hates, hates that fool on the new nighttime show who gets more attention than him, things are almost too good to be true.
Except his studio just acquired a smaller one, and one of the new transfers, Alastor, rubbed him the wrong way and now he's got to try not to think about that too. Not his condescending attitude or the eye-catching way he walks or how his show is incredible, actually, and he earned every second of his airtime despite being an insufferable fop who think's he's better than Vincent.
Keeping his mind off the things he's not supposed to be thinking about is only getting harder and harder these days.
1950s AU exploring the idea of what could have happened if the terms of Alastor’s deal were different from the canon.

If there truly was a Hell on Earth, Vincent had firmly found himself there.
He couldn't wrap his head around how his life had gone ass up; how he'd fallen so far from grace that he went from scraping the heavens with greedy hands, to crashing down, down, down into the deepest pit. He had been a god. Worshiped by the masses, adored in every American home, families gathered around the altar, eyes locked onto their televisions. Unable to look away from him.
Vincent had clawed and fought and murdered up the entertainment ladder, rung by bloody rung. Proved every rich executive wrong who dared to laugh at him, doubt him. He was the phoenix: transformed and reborn from the ashes of the bumbling, stuttering, weak weatherman, grateful for scraps. He was the voice of the people, who, with a righteous baptism, would usher forth a bigger, better, brighter future of entertainment.
And then, right on the precipice of ascension, his dreams shattered around him.

He’s also going to kill his father. That last bit is proving trickier than the rest, but he’s got it all figured out. If he plays his cards right, everything will go his way.
Until it doesn’t, and Vincent is drawn into a chase that threatens everything he’s ever worked for, a pursuit that drags him around the world, following a shadow that systematically haunts and taunts him at every turn. What does this shadow want, really, and can Vincent outmaneuver him whilst balancing his own extracurricular activities? Only time will tell.

Above him, Alastor sways in and out of focus, uncurling his fist and examining his hand, the back of it, the palm, fingers splayed, and then forming a fist again. “I can say I quite like the idea of hitting you, though.”
