For a second, Katara is helpless. No bending, no running, not when she’s trying to pull air into her lungs, feeling the world spin nauseatingly around her.
That’s all Zuko needs.
He pins her with a truly insulting ease, grabbing her wrists to hold both down, and she is well and truly caught. She glares up at him – he is soaked from the water she has been throwing at him, but his golden eyes are glaring right back at her, and there’s that sneering curl to his lip that makes her want to dump half the ocean on his head.
He leans down and she can feel the heat of his breath in her ear.
“Leaving so soon?” he hisses.

After the League of Villains incident, Katsuki is just trying to keep it together. Things are slipping through the cracks and he's on his hands and knees trying not to let any of his responsibilities out of his sight. Most of the time he can't bear to be touched, especially from behind or anywhere near the back of his neck. Which means his regularly scheduled haircuts are absolutely out of the question. It's fine, he's coping, he's dealing with it—his hair grows out long, longer than it's ever been, and that's fine too.
Until it isn't. But Todoroki being in the right place at the wrong time in the communal boys bathroom as Katsuki is shaving his entire head in a fit of late night mania might just be the solution—one that spans years—that neither of them were looking for.

En tant grande amatrice des histoires policières, je ne pouvais pas passer à côté d'un crossover entre BTS et 'Le Crime de l'Orient Express. J'ai été conquise par l'histoire dès les premières lignes.
On nous propose ici un huis-clos dans les wagons luxueux et feutrés du train. Un meurtre à eu lieu, et l'assassin se trouve forcément parmi les passagers. Nous sommes alors plongés dans l'enquête du détective V.
Le texte est travaillé, avec des descriptions équilibrées et fluides qui nous immergent dans une ambiance particulière. La plume est originale, parfaitement adaptée au récit, et change de ce qu'on peut trouver habituellement dans les fanfictions.
On découvre peu à peu les histoires des énigmatiques passagers du train, on s'attache à leurs différentes personnalités, le cœur divisé comme on a conscience que le meurtrier se trouve forcément parmi eux. Ils semblent tous cacher des choses.
Le dénouement de l'enquête, qui soulève de nombreuses questions sur la justice et l'éthique, est délicieux. Il est surprenant, terriblement satisfaisant, et nous entraîne vers une révélation finale que nous n'avions pas pu voir venir.
Une histoire à lire pour ceux qui aiment être tenus en haleine et mener une enquête au côté des personnages !

Summary
Katara and Zuko's mission on board The Southern Raiders goes badly wrong, and they are captured and imprisoned in the unforgiving hull of the ship.
Katara now finds herself locked in a small room with a boy that she refuses to trust, and nine years worth of trauma and guilt swimming in her mind. She is resolute in her hostility towards Zuko, but as the horrors of their captivity unfold, an undeniable bond is formed in the quiet moments between their captor's torments.
When they find themselves safely back with their friends on Ember Island, they are both sporting deep scars – old and new, seen and unseen. Katara struggles to reconcile all the pieces of herself and figure out who she truly is. And Zuko continues to battle with his past guilt, and the new guilt that arises from his growing feelings towards Katara.
As their bond deepens – it may be the lifeline they both so desperately need to pull them from the dark waters of their past.

Une fanfiction historique travaillée et recherchée, avec un soucis du détail et de cohérence. Scénario bien ficelé, des personnages nuancés qui évoluent au fil de l'histoire. Un couple principal attachant, naturel, et sans prise de tête. -

Les princes de ces nations se retrouvèrent enfermés et leurs royaumes, anciens alliés, se déclarèrent la guerre à cause de leur amour. Une malédiction les empêchait de se retrouver. Ils allaient devoir traverser l’enfer pour pouvoir vivre leur amour en liberté mais leur espoir était plus fort que tout.
