He doesn't know why his heart races when he thinks about saying it. He's called her by her name before, particularly whenever her brother comes to visit, but Yor feels personal. It is personal.
Calling her by her real name implies that they’re closer than simply two people who entertain each other in their off time. It implies that he cares about her more than he should and that there’s something there, familiarity, and he doesn’t know how to feel about it.
It rolls off his tongue slowly.
“Yor.”
Thorn Princess pauses for a few seconds, then her cheeks color. Part of him wonders if her heart is thumping as loud as his, but it can't be.
Because there's not a single probability in the world that the feelings he avoids are the same ones she feels.
Maybe he was in denial (and perhaps he is a scoundrel too).
