Captain America was a man-made-legend. Everyone knew the story. The skinny young man who volunteered his body to be pumped full of Super Serum, and transformed into the American ideal- tall, strong, undeniably masculine. The man who fought the Nazis with every bit of strength he had, and gave his life for the sake of freedom.
This was all true, of course. But there were many things no one knew about Captain America, things that had been glossed over in all the propaganda made about him.

Look, I never wanted to be a half-blood. In my 20 years, I’ve been expelled from school 15 times, nearly died so many times I’ve lost count, been through literal hell, watched a bunch of my friends die, etc, etc, etc. Only in the past couple of years has my life even BEGUN to be marginally normal. I turned down immortality because I wanted to live a normal life with the woman I loved. So imagine my confusion when I found myself lying on the floor of the Olympian throne-room, dressed in a chiton, with a mouth full of nectar.
Turns out, there’s a new threat the gods need me to take care of: Chaos. What’s worse, it’s so powerful, they had to turn me into a god to even have a chance of taking it down.
And more bad news: Annabeth’s dead.

The Forcefem Gulag follows a protagonist who is arrested by a transitional revolutionary government, the Worker's State, and imprisoned for the crime of disowning his transgender daughter and promoting transphobic hate speech, for which the sentence is forced feminization at a PoW camp run by the Worker's Red Army of the Upper Midwest (WRAUM).
There are no heroes in the world of The Forcefem Gulag. The moral universe of the story is intentionally murky; there are only villains, anti-villains, and victims/bystanders.
