As they reached an inn and Wei Wuxian got them a room with three beds, the world seemed to have frozen for Jiang Yanli when her brother suddenly fainted and Jiang Wanyin was just fast enough to catch him before his body could hit the floor.

In which after the Lotus Pier Massacre: Wei Wuxian was greatly injured by Zidian, Jiang Yanli left the inn to buy the medicines and food, and Jiang Wanyin distracted the Wens.
(With a bonus of Wei Wuxian knowing the title of the song and more things ensued inside the Xuanwu Cave that may or may have not involved Lan Wangji's forehead ribbon)

It was an unusual pairing, to say the least. Lan Wangji, the straight A student and class president, was dating Wei Wuxian. Yes, that Wei Wuxian. The kid who mouthed off in class and threw paper balls at the back of the history teacher’s head (who unfortunately just happened to be Lan Wangji’s uncle) and got sent to the principal’s office at least once a week.
But Lan Wangji had a boyfriend and it was going to be the best year ever.
That is, until the new kid Xue Yang arrived and ruined everything.

This fic is basically just an excuse for lots of jealous and protective and pining and (did I mention) jealous Lan Zhan, a little bit of dark Wei Wuxian, a lot of angst, and an opportunity to explore the absurd amount of chemistry between Wei Wuxian and Xue Yang. All in the context of a modern high school drama.
