The first two nights, Harry sleeps like the dead— or, well, maybe that's not the best comparison, given the number of inferi attacks reported lately.
He sleeps like a log. Like a dead log. An un-re-animated dead log. From an everyday, inanimate, non-whomping tree.
After that, Harry wakes up screaming more nights than not, and he even cries on the bad ones, which makes James cry too. In this regard, James reckons that his first week of parenting a full-grown teenage adult bears an awful lot of resemblance to parenting a newborn baby. He feels both blessed and terrifyingly out of his depth.

“Who should we call the well-read one now?” Padfoot grinned, flicking through the pages, “No, I don’t read much. But Sappho … She's brilliant.”
“A most curious preference,” Remus noted, amused.
“We share common interests,” Padfoot shrugged and then smirked at Remus, “Women.” He looked back to the book, carefully running his fingers over a page. “I’ve found that there is no one quite so suited to appreciating how exquisite a woman is than a woman herself.”

Regulus thought after what happened when Sirius came out, his mother would have reacted differently when it was his turn to make the confession. That she wouldn’t lose both sons. But he was wrong.
That’s how he finds himself waiting to be picked-up by the brother he hasn’t seen in 3 years. Ready to crash on his couch in the small city of Berkeley, California.
Sirius’ flatmates are a far cry from his London friends. There’s his boyfriend, Remus. A graduate student who plays albums that sound more like noise than melody. Peter, who’s quiet and kind and brings everyone coffee and bagels from his job. And James, who seems intent on ignoring Regulus’ presence completely, even when Regulus gets a job beside him at their local record shop.
Or, James Potter was doing his best not to defile his roommate's younger brother because Sirius told him to “keep his slutty hands off of Regulus or else," but finds himself unable to keep the promise.

Sirius Black has taken a trip to Wales for the day to find a gift for his baby brother and waits for his train to come take him back to his cozy home, loving parents and the best family in the world, and locks eyes with the most beautiful man he has ever seen in his life and knows he has to have him.
Or
Remus and Sirius come from very different backgrounds, meet on a train, and decide to spend one lovely night together. (basically just the before trilogy but Wolfstar)

Sirius escapes Azkaban in August 1993. He has two goals: 1) Find Harry, 2) Kill Peter Pettigrew.
Sirius turns up at the Dursley's to check on Harry and things do not go as planned... but that's okay because what he finds is better.
"Sirius had been expecting the house to be grey, dark, and stale, but as he crossed the threshold he was hit with the smell of cooking food and the sounds of a warm crackling fire. As he walked through the foyer he found he was in the direct eye-line of a man, a familiar looking man who stood with impeccable posture at the long kitchen table cutting carrots. The man was of average height (slightly taller than Sirius), slim build, and had dark black curly hair that he kept tucked behind one ear. He continued chopping vegetables in tailored black slacks, heavy leather boots, and an expensive looking gray wool sweater. Most curiously about his appearance was the emerald green apron that was fitted around the man's waist that read “World’s Greatest Uncle” in silver lettering. "

Sirius and James accidentally find themselves on a Yorkshire farm during lambing season. The farmer’s son thinks that’s a bit annoying, actually.

Sirius hated the whole paparazzi, be in the public talk, magazine column’s eye thing. He loved performing, and getting his songs out into the world, he loved the fanbase and the people he got to meet and help. He wasn’t able to stop his annoyance with the paparazzi and the gossip mags, though. They were so fucking horrible, constantly asking about his heterosexual relationships, his heterosexual life and his fucking heterosexual activities. It’s not that he had a problem with coming out, and the record label didn’t either, it was more a problem with his parents.
