Summary
There is not much these days that would surprise Ryland Grace, an expert on oceanic biology and one of the world's leading figures in marine genetics. He was cut off as a loud thud made him jump. For a brief second, an inhuman hand pressed against the glass. It had five long, thin fingers, with thin membranes stretching between each to make it webbed.
Grace gulped.

Somehow every conversation he was a part of the whole day devolved into how handsome or well-built this Mr. Butcher was, some of the kids would also add how fun he was in class but that was a far-flung second place on the list.
Grace knew that new blood coming into any school was going to be picked apart and idolized for a while but it was almost creepy how much the teenagers and grown adults seemed to obsess over the guy. Maybe he just didn't understand because he hadn't met him yet but from an outside perspective it was all rather nuts.
He wouldn't deny he was curious though.
