Summary
Logan thinks that if she could, Mother would clean the entire forest of anything dirty. But she can’t so instead she spends her days obsessing over the smallest spots of grime and dirt in their home. It probably didn't help that the forest seems bent on growing in every crack and corner of their home.
When three strange boys show up on the edge of their property, Mother tells Logan to keep away from them. They're dirty. Disgusting. And usually he does listen to Mother when she asks something of him. And he probably should just leave it be and ignore them like she wants.
But Logan was always too curious for his own good.

Summary
Logan’s family is unique. They live far away from the safe borders of the local kingdom, aware that they would never be welcomed there. Janus, Virgil, Patton, and the twins had no choice but to live as outcasts. Each of them had been unfairly banished from civilization due to their enchantment, an underserved punishment, as they had only been collateral damage in the war against those who wield magic. The outlawed witches retaliated against unjust laws, but often times, children were caught in the crossfire. It was the story of their family, for all of them had been unfairly cursed.
All of them, but Logan.
Their family consisted of a scaled superhuman, an arachnid-man hybrid, a werewolf, two winged twins with unnatural abilities, and the peculiar Logan.
As they come upon the 10-year anniversary of Logan’s adoption into the family, Janus begins to worry. He has his hands full caring for their strange family of 6, but he grows distraught as his 19 year old Logan continues to pull away. He hopes the answer to the problem is simple, but deep down, he knows Logan is anything but.

Summary
Serpent was a supervillain. Now that doesn’t mean he is evil, of course not, no one is purely good or evil, it’s not humanly possible. But if he had to pick, the evil role does seem more fun, doesn’t it? And certainly more effective.
So he wasn’t evil but he was certainly busy. Not that he had been, even if he always liked to keep himself busy. The perk of being a shapeshifter was that he could be anyone, and with a few robberies and deals and subterfuges, enough money to do anything - including feed the impoverished, which really ought to not be a job done by so-called evil, what does that say about the rest of society?
He hadn’t been busy until recently. Law enforcement hadn’t been even a concern for him and heroes were general nuisances at their worst, until now, it seems. Crimson Void could certainly hold his own in battle. Janus thinks he could find this hero’s fighting to be admirable, but he was rather preoccupied worrying about the teenage twins who showed up at his soup kitchen, one always covered in bruises.
AKA Janus accidentally acquires two teenagers.
