Summary
I was gonna die young. Now I gotta wait for you.
- + -
Sometime between finishing his master's degree and starting his new teaching job in upstate New York, Castiel had given up on pursuing any type of committed relationship. He may have grasped how humans interacted and formed social bonds in a theoretical or academic sense, but that was a far cry from actually understanding how to put that knowledge into practice. Dean, thankfully, seemed to be on the same page. For the first time in a long time, he had a good thing going for him. He was living somewhere other than his car, had enough side hustles to put a bit of extra money in his pocket, and had sworn he wouldn't let himself catch feelings for a hook-up ever again.
That goes about as well as expected.

Summary
The point was that Cas fell out of that barn and right into Dean’s life like he’d always belonged there. Like there was a Castiel-shaped spot missing somewhere and he’d slotted right into it. Over the past several months, the two of them haven’t been apart for more than a couple hours and Dean wonders how he ever went on without him. How it was even possible that Cas hadn’t been there the entire time.

The thing no one tells you about hunting is that it’s surprisingly boring. Having Cas around helps.

Summary
"Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the Devil has come to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
— Revelation 12:12- + -
After a near-fatal run-in with the outlaw Luke Scratch, Deputy U.S. Marshall Dean Winchester spends his days drinking and generally shirking his responsibilities. That all changes after Dean takes up a seemingly unremarkable bounty and finds himself reunited with the man who first put Dean on Scratch’s trail: Cas Milton, Dean’s former lover who is now an outlaw himself. Now, Dean finds himself repairing burned bridges and rejoining Cas on the hunt for the man known as the Devil himself.

Summary
"Welcome to Wildwater Canyon! You will get wet! You might get soaked!"
- + -
The summer of 2003 could more accurately be described as the summer from Hell. It was Dean's second year working in concessions at the local water park which meant it was his second year of sunburn, screaming children, wet dollar bills, and having to stare at Cas, the unbearably hot lifeguard stationed directly across from his stand.
Or, five times Dean completely failed at trying to talk to his summer crush plus the one time he didn't have to.

Summary
Quickly and clumsily, Dean pries off his boots and top layer. He climbs up to the head of the bed, and as he stretches, the back of his undershirt rides up. Skin pulls taught over sore muscles. There is a warm buzzing under Castiel's skin that he doesn't quite recognize. His fingers twitch, the sensation just out of reach.
Oh, he realizes. This is desire.
- + -
After losing his brother in the showdown at Stull Cemetery, Dean has gone into self-imposed exile. He's plagued by insomnia, and the only way he seems to get any sleep at all is when Castiel puts him out with a single touch. When this still doesn't prove enough to bring Dean any real relief from his grief and sleeplessness, Castiel wonders if what Dean really needs is another type of comfort altogether.

Summary
“Not old.” A scar ran down the side of Ghost’s face, perpendicular to the cut of his jawline, and it shifted as he spoke, “Younger than Price.”
“Really?” Soap’s stool scraped across the floor as he tugged it closer. Far too close for two grown, military sculpted men to be to each other but Soap had had at least two tequila shots even before he’d started on his next drinks, so it felt like nothing at all to be able to smell that Ghost was clean. No blood. No dirt. Clean, washed skin underneath his clothes and mask, “I mean, that wee glance you gave us of your mug back before the raid wasn’t much to go on.”
“Thought you might have gone rifling through my file.”
-----
Or: Ghost and Soap are the last ones left in the bar after the final MW2 mission, knees touching, and Soap can't help himself. Can't stop the little, needling shit that lives in the back of his head and cajoles him into pushing himself into Ghost's vision. 'Just a snog, sir. We don't have to tell.' Except, it's not really that easy, is it?

Summary
It’s easy enough to keep himself still when Johnny begins to touch him. He drags warm, firm hands across Simon’s back, his palms sliding effortlessly against skin and scars alike with the oil slicking the way. It’s as familiar as it is alien. Johnny’s hands, callused and strong. Reliable and sturdy; clever and quick. They’re the same hands that clap him on the shoulder and pat him on the arm and hand him a mug of tea.
He’s rarely had them on his bare skin. Simon runs hot; knows it because of how he’s had to act as the human furnace on missions with subzero temperatures and snow banks taller than his head. But Johnny’s hands mark their path across the plane of his back with a pleasant warmth, one that lingers even as his touch moves on.
Johnny’s palms dig into the meat at his shoulders, then push down, across his back and his ribs and his waist. By the time his hands catch at his waistband, Simon has arched into the sensation like a cat, muscles trembling. Johnny’s hands lift away and, strings cut, he collapses into the bed, breath shaking.
or: Ghost has been tense lately; Soap helps him with that.
