“My my, Hiro. I thought you’d be more gracious for your gift.” Tall Scary Guy murmured with a smirk. Callaghan sighed from the other side of Hiro, typing in a code on the padlock.
“Quit taunting the boy, Obake.” So that was Tall Scary Guy’s name. It was a stupid name.
“Oh Robert, let me have some fun.” Obake shook his head, a chuckle escaping his lips as the door hissed open.
At first, Hiro had no idea what he was looking at. The room – cell – was occupied by only one other person, who spun towards the entrance when it opened. That person paled considerably when their eyes met, and Hiro ceased trying to tug his hand from Obake’s grip.
“T-Tadashi?” Hiro croaked out.

"How come you never want to talk to us?"
Five looks up from his book, stretching slightly as he uncurls a bit to eye him from his position across from Diego. His eyes narrow. "I do talk to you." It's a short reply, as are all his replies, Diego thinks, crafted to end conversations rather than continue them.
"No, you talk back to us, but you never talk to us. Like, you never want to talk to us," Diego grumbles.
Five considers this for a moment, blinking at him, before he shrugs. "Huh. I guess I don't."

Every time Klaus walks into the kitchen, there’s a certain level of weirdness that he’s learned to expect. Like, the bar is really low for a normal day.
But Five brandishing a bottle of vodka while Diego chases him around the table definitely tops anything he could have imagined.
“Are you seeing this?” He asks Ben because he’s still not sure this isn’t a hallucination.
“Unfortunately,” Ben replies, blankly watching as Five throws a toast at Diego, apparently forgetting that he can, in fact, teleport out of the room and shake Diego off his tail. “You should intervene.”

“You could be,” Luther says, soft and gentle. “Happy, I mean. If you want to be.”
Five’s voice is small. “I want to be.”

“I don’t know man,” Diego says, frustrated. “I’m not a doctor, or a space-jumping expert. All I know is that he pushed himself too far, but he said he was fine- or would be fine with some time and rest.”
Five frowns. Did he say that? He doesn’t recall that conversation. He’s not sure why he would say something like that to Diego, either. It doesn’t feel like he’s getting better in the slightest. If anything, he’s probably getting worse—“Then fucking say that!” Diego snaps loudly, startling Five. “For God’s sake, Five, I’m trying to help you over here! You think I’m having the time of my life sitting here and watching you like this?”
