Summary
The real world is fragile in a way that makes Wilbur Soot want to lay down in a dark room and never have to participate in society ever again. Things like capitalism, injustice, and the separation of Pangea aren’t quite as mind-numbingly terrifying, oddly enough, because he knows he can’t fix those things. They’re scary, but the only thing scarier than not having control is knowing you do. At the end of the day, the things that rot away his insides and take hold inside of him are his father’s disappointment, the fact that he hasn’t seen his best friend in over a year, and his little brother’s hero worship that has begun to feel like suffocation.

Wilbur sighed. This kid would be the death of him. “Wednesday,” he said definitively. “If it doesn’t get better by Wednesday, I’ll call a doctor.” That was when he got paid, so maybe it wouldn’t be as bad. They’d just have to be a bit careful about spending money for the rest of the month. “Deal?”
“Fine,” Tommy agreed, though it didn’t look as if he liked it. “Deal.”

Summary
The church is the same as it was. White steeples and purple stained-glass windows. A weeping willow hangs over the entrance, offering shade where no is needed. Not with the chill that pierces Wilbur to his core, curling with the warmth of whiskey. Faces turn to them as they approach. Their own crowd of well-wishers. Sympathy for Phil as they reach for him, and apprehension for Wilbur as he stands alone.
Nobody comments on the way Wilbur’s hands shake, or the fact that his hair is greasy and limp. They don’t comment on the way he stumbles in his step because the world is spinning. Not to his face, at least. He sees plenty of familiar faces, hidden behind hands as they stared at him. Whispers follow as he walks into the church, a step behind Phil. Buzzing around his head, crawling into his ears.
Who shows up drunk to a funeral?

“Oh Wil,” Tommy sighed, pushing the door open fully as he stepped into the room. Wilbur didn’t react as Tommy walked over to the bed, and he didn’t react when Tommy sat down on the mattress next to him either. He blinked once, but his gaze didn’t move from that empty spot on the wall.
Reaching out, Tommy rested a hand on Wilbur’s shoulder, and the only reaction he got was more blinking from his older brother.
“Are you having one of your bad days?” Tommy asked.
Wilbur didn’t respond.
“Can you hear me?” He tried again.
There was a single blink, and Tommy figured that was the closest thing to an answer he was going to get.

Wilbur is sixteen when he throws down the emancipation papers on his fathers’ desk. There is a key in his hands to the van parked out front. His bags are packed and have been for a week. His guitar is stashed in its case, hanging from his shoulders. His mind is set. This is what he wants.
He pretends it doesn’t hurt when his father doesn’t even hesitate when signing his signature in short tight loops along the line.
“That’s that then,” his father says, giving him a soft smile. Wilbur wants to punch it off his face. “I hope you will write.”
“I will,” Wilbur responds.

Tommy glanced at the joint again before shrugging. “Weed helps anxiety, right?”
Wilbur blinked. “Uh, usually, yeah.”
“Alright, then.”
Suddenly, Tommy was stuffing the joint in his hoodie pocket, and walked over to Wilbur’s closet. Next thing Wilbur knew, there was a jacket being thrown in his face, followed by the nearby thud of what he guessed was Tommy throwing his shoes at him.
Yanking the jacket off his face, Wilbur glared at his little brother. “What is this?”
“What do you think, dumbass?” Tommy asked, gesturing to the jacket and shoes now sitting on the floor in front of Wilbur. “We’re going out.”
or, freshly home from university for the summer, Wilbur has a panic attack over his grades. Good thing Tommy is there to pull him out of his head.

That’s not-- what?
“What?” Wilbur echoes his thoughts. That-- he doesn’t understand.
Technoblade repeats it. “We’re building a homeless shelter. It won’t be ready for a few days, but this time next week I guarantee it’ll be up and running.”
Wilbur shakes his head. This doesn’t make sense. It must be a trap, a way to gather them all in one building to make it easier to take them all.
“I promise,” Technoblade insists, “It’ll be done by then. It’ll have blankets, food, good food, a warm space, even rooms eventually.” He takes a step forward, and Wilbur staggers back. He keeps Tommy cradled against his body.
This can’t be real. It’s a trap. Technoblade is lying.

It's a good thing the Antarctic Empire is looking to expand its borders.

Summary
Sixteen years old and still readily enjoying childhood, Tommy’s life is completely turned upside down when he is told by his guardian, Dream, he will be married to one Tabitha Minecraft in a season’s time. The only spot of light in this whole mess is that Tabitha’s brother, Wilbur, a war veteran and a terrorist, is Tommy’s hero who he has been trying to meet for the better part of two years.
Things become more and more complicated as the war rages, everyone in Tommy’s life seems to be lying about one thing or the other, and the thumps from the very top floor of the Minecraft house seem to get louder every time Tommy stops by.

Summary
Wilbur was a witch, just like his mother. He helped his father and brother defend humanity against the threat of the two fae courts - the Seelie and Unseelie courts. Being a witch meant he was vulnerable, that the fae would try to steal him, so he understood the restrictions he was under. It was fine.
That was, until his father and brother brought the King of the Unseelie Court to the Fae Hunters Village.
