Well that distance is about to change, but is Dean ready for what they have together to change? Maybe it sounds better in theory than in practice, but Castiel isn't the one to let anything get between him and what he really wants.

One night Castiel decided to drop the solitary routine he was stuck in and visits the bar in town where he heard was hosting a local band's show. Ready to enjoy a night out, possibly hear some covers, and relax, Castiel was not prepared for the onslaught of talent from the band's performance. It also didn't hurt that the lead singer was easily the most attractive man he'd ever laid eyes on.

Dean didn’t do so well with the whole “We’re Gonna Die, Cas’s confession, Panic Mode, Cas is Gone” debacle. What’s the point, everyone else gets a win. What does Dean get- nada. Until the moment, his win walked back through the bunker doors. Cas was back, now they could have everything.
Because sure Cas, happiness is in the being, but now our happiness is going to be in the having… maybe.

Sure Castiel Novak was an actor, a famous one at that. He built his career up with solid films and shows over the last fifteen years in Hollywood. He lived more than comfortably and enjoyed the life he had. But as cliched as it sounded, he knew he was missing out on finding that special someone.
That is until he met Dean Winchester. Just seeing Dean's talent in special effects was like watching art come to life. But the bow-legged, beautiful man was more than just his job, and Castiel wanted to know more about Dean. But what would a man as talented and bright as Dean want to do with Castiel, who was really only a celebrity playing make-believe, who got paid to play dress-up? So he pines from afar, nothing will come of it anyway.

Dean has had a crush on Castiel Novak since he saw his first movie so many years ago. Once Dean broke into the special effects business he never once thought he'd work with the man. But of course, the things you don't believe will happen generally do. So from afar, he longs to learn more about Castiel to really get to know him. But Dean, he works behind the scenes, he's literally invisible. Castiel won't ever notice him. Dean's fine with it, nothing will come of it anyway.

Summary
Follow Cas, an Alpha from an agency (fort of), as he meets the hissing, growling, crying Omega that is Dean Winchester. Cas tenderly helps Dean through a heatwave, makes Gabriel pick up groceries for Dean’s sad kitchen, soothes Dean’s dick with magical Alpha Healing Spit (TM), then helps him through another heat wave.
Oh, and they are True Mates, by the way. Obviously.

Summary
In some ways, Dean thought his death would solve things. He thought it would give him a chance for a happy life in Heaven surrounded by his family, but he was wrong. So he decides to take a ride in his Baby and find that missing piece that keeps him from being happy. Almost everywhere he goes, there is one constant – Castiel. He sees his angel, over and over, finding him in different worlds with different versions of Dean and then watching over him from afar.
Back on Earth, Dean didn’t have the words for the feelings inside him, but his afterlife might just provide him with the strength and wisdom to hold on to true happiness when he finds it.
