Zuko shrugged. “Fire benders have a natural tolerance to heat. Our skin doesn’t really burn.” He opened a drawer and found a small, dusty container of ointment and pulled it out. “It comes in handy when you’re always surrounded by fire.” When he turned around, he found the rest of the group watching him with expressions Zuko couldn’t quite place. He held out the balm to Katara, but she hesitated before taking it. “What’s wrong?” Zuko asked.
Aang looked at him uncomfortably. “I don’t want to accuse you of being a liar, but…”
“But what?”
“Your face, man,” Sokka supplied with his usual grace.

It's not an entirely uncommon occurrence; sometimes death threats get sent to the school, sometimes students have things they want to share but cannot bring themselves to say out loud, sometimes amongst themselves they have bits of gossip or reminders that they leave for each other.Of late, however, there have been a very specific set of notes being circulated: admiration notes. They have clearly been the product of hours of work, each one a little labour of love, full of excited, yet immaculate scrawl about each hero's successes and strengths and accomplishments, taking into account charity work, rescue missions, big fights, all of it.
Aizawa was not expecting to receive one. But then he does, and it's something absolutely brilliant.

Hizashi is instantly by his side, cupping his face frantically. Shouta seldom cries. “Sho? Sho what’s wrong? What’s happening?” He asks frantically.
“Kacchan......told me to kill myself....... Kacchan-” Shouta exhales harshly as the words and their meaning filter through his mind. The shock and grief are so strong it leaves Shouta breathless. Just as quickly, the sadness is suddenly replaced with concern? Buts it’s like a fragile glass bowl, and the shock and sadness sit nestled inside it. The concern and blanketing calm are forced. Stitched together manually thread by thread. The real emotions try to splash over the edge, try to crack the glass.
“What an idiot he could get in so much trouble”With that thought, all the foreign emotions begin to retreat, likely being forced down, and then Shoutas head is his own once more.
That finally seals it for Shouta. These aren't his thoughts or feelings. He is hearing someone else’s thoughts and feelings. Experiencing what they do. The question is who?
