"Come here, you idiot." And then Eddie was pulling Buck into a bone crushing hug. Buck could feel Eddie's heart beating against his chest, the mirror of his own. Buck clutched at the back of Eddie's shirt, not wanting to let go, wanting to keep the two of them here just like this for the rest of their lives. He wanted to stay entangled with Eddie just like this so that hundreds of years from now, after civilization had collapsed and a new one built on top of it, future archaeologists would find them and know that Evan Buckley had once loved Eddie Diaz.

Summary
The heavy feeling that settled in Buck’s chest when Eddie said he was thinking of moving to El Paso–that he was actively looking at houses to buy–only grew as time went on. He hated it, hated this ugly, dark selfishness festering inside him like an infectious disease. He knew that Eddie wanted to–needed to–fix his relationship with Chris more than anything and if Chris wasn’t going to come home to LA, the only other option was for Eddie to go to Texas.
But he didn’t have to move.
He didn’t have to leave Buck forever.
or the 8x08 coda where eddie is leaving and buck doesn't want to confront what that means for him so he resorts to less than stellar coping mechanisms because if even eddie can leave him, then what's the point of anything anymore?

“Asked me if I was the Chinese food delivery guy on my first day.” Chim contributed in a whisper, like he was afraid Buck might wake up and hear. Maybe he felt disloyal admitting it now. It was no secret to anyone paying attention how much Chim loved Buck, even if he often pretended to be exasperated with him.
Hen nodded solemnly. “One of the many people who wouldn’t even acknowledge me when I started.”
It was news to Eddie, and apparently Ravi too, but not Cap, who resolutely stared down at the table in front of him, shaking his head.
“Oh, so he fucking sucks.” Ravi contributed casually, never one to pull punches with his thoughts.
No one responded, but the agreement was in the air.

Eddie starts gathering information about why no one trusts Tommy. As he grows to hate their relationship more, he learns more about himself and what he wants.
