“A hit? Like-”

“Richie,” Eddie scoffs, “Bro. Come on. Like I’m supposed to believe that?”
“That your wife wants you dead?” He asks, genuinely concerned. “I know it’s a lot-”
“Actually, that I believe,” Eddie interrupts. “But, come on, dude. What the hell is-” Eddie swallows nervously. “You can’t be a-” he laughs at the idea, “No fucking way in hell did Trashmouth grow up to be a hitman!”

The wood is soft around the knife as he carves in deeper, engraving letters into the old bridge. Richie fights back tears burning his eyes, focusing only on his task until the quiet voice inside him begins to rage.
"If he makes it, I’ll tell him. Please. Let him make it and I’ll tell him everything. I have to tell him everything. Fucking everything. Please just let him make it."
A somber mantra, pleading to a higher power he doesn’t even believe in.
Eddie is probably dying in surgery at the hospital across town and Richie can do nothing about it.

Boyd no longer wants to be the man Harlan's molded him into. And Raylan, well he doesn’t know much other than that Boyd Crowder is a very dangerous man and a liar and he should be closing the door in his face not letting him waltz right in again and again and, shit, maybe one more time...

Boyd Crowder slept for a year. He went to sleep, knowing who he was, and woke up not knowing what year it was or where he lived. He can list all of the presidents right up to Obama, can say when asked what color the sky is, can do math problems easily when presented with them but couldn't say what his name is, what age he is, or where he was born.
"My name is Boyd Crowder and I live in Harlan, Kentucky."
