But, once it's becomes clear their newest dispatcher is more than ready to push back against them, the bat hybrid comes to realise that chances are running out. And maybe, if this Robert can make a bunch of villains get it together, he might be able to help with the rest of his problems.

Death was not an unknown concept to Connor. He died two times before, it didn’t really bother him.
But now that he was a deviant? He couldn't say it left him as stoic as he had been back then. But he was still an android. Unless he is externally destroyed during his detective work or something, he would live for hundreds of years. He didn't have to worry about dying of natural causes anytime soon.
This was not the case with Hank.
The man was already in his fifties. His hair and beard were gray, his face wrinkled, and his dietary choices weren't the healthiest, slowly eroding any chance of a long life. And when Hank will die, he wouldn't come back. That would just be the end.
Connor thought he was doing a pretty good job of not thinking about the dark and depressing concept of inevitable death, but of course, it all had to be ruined. By Hank, no less.
