Summary
Join Avery D'Arc, “Space Orc” [Human], as he wrestles with the mysteries of the universe, Cat-girls with no conception of personal space, and the slings and arrows of outrageous vacation destinations.
The deuteragonist (Avery's “girlfriend”) is a shape-shifting alien Genomorph, hence the pronoun “zer”. When you get to UWP AL6500031, you might wish to consult the Traveller UWP charts (RPG planetary data). For those of you just walking into the story, this is in a series, occurring right after a story that forked into another series; please see the header-notes section for background.
Ch. 1 is Dr. Who-ish (with Cthulhu overtones); for the crazy Space Cat-girl shenanigans, jump ahead to chapter two. 🙂
NB 27 Sep 2021: 4th [short] story in series, added yesterday! (Happy almost-anniversary [17 Oct] to the first 2 Space Orcs stories in the series!)

Summary
In the end, she is forced to contact one of the undergraduate intern-larvae for assistance, who must have been lurking in wait for just such a summons. He appears in minutes with antennae waving nervously, a headset and text-production screen in his hands.
“It says... it is the human Steve,” the larva relays, symbols marching across the screen as the headset tracks the human’s eye movements on a lettered keypad. “Oh, wait, that’s a male pronoun. He is the human Steve. He wants to know what has happened to the, um, his ship.”

Chronicles of Human Deathworlder Expatriates to the Planet of Magh.
notes:
-gh represents the Voiceless Velar Fricative, as found in Anglo-Saxon, and traditional Brithonic Languages.-gh'Th'makak often write in the passive voice.
-The first few chapters were written on long-forgotten Tumblr posts. I honestly don't know how much farther this will go.
-gh'Th'makak have four arms, but don't feel the need to mention it in the For Deathworlders section of the preamble, as they believe it to be apparent enough. The castes range from 3' to 4'6" tall.

The ✨gay✨ love story between an orc and a human set in the world built by my adhd mind during school days. Inspired by an amazing Tumblr post, it finaly gave me a motivation to start a long term work, so win for me I guess. Anyways, Gro'lark is litteraly a space orc with social anxiety, takes a job offer that leads them on a ship filled with people who are on various levels of hostile towards them. Well, almost all of them. Jada, a wonderful human who may or may not have ADHD, starts talking to them and the unlikely duo becomes bffs and later, lovers. I loved this prompt too much not to use it.
And yes, I started writing this because it's Pride month! Happy pride month to my fellow LGBTQ+ comunity and allies! 🌈

The general wisdom was, if you go anywhere dangerous, you'll want to bring a human with you. As such, there were a lot of humans in Adalhia's line of work. He thought he was done being surprised by them, but there was something weird about this one.
Nothing to worry about, though, obviously.

Summary
The admiral stared at the creature, his eye-stalks twitching with disquiet. He’d heard stories of this species. They were strong, tough, and capable, and on top of that they were clever. They had only recently perfected warp drive and yet within a generation their ships numbered in the thousands. He had known this meeting would be strange, but he hadn’t known what to expect. Certainly not this.

Summary
What if when we get to space and we find out that all our movies, stories, etc. where humans are weak and (honestly) pathetic compared to most of the species in the galaxy, were wrong. What if we are actually the strong ones? The crazy ones? The hard-to-kill ones? The dangerous ones? Or maybe even the adorably cute ones? The ones that will out-progress most other species because we take seemingly too big/stupid risks and it pays off? Or we are very good at looking at problems from different perspectives. etc. You get the point.

Summary
Billie Badass is from one of the galaxy's most dangerous and hardy species (though also, punnily enough, rather hearty ) — a Genomorph (a hermaphroditic species halfway between the Gelatinous Blobs of Futurama and the Pleasure GELFs of Red Dwarf; not precisely a Star Trek DS9 Changeling, but similar enough) — though not suicidally stupid enough to go near Humans... until one fateful trip. Now cast away, ze learns from a local — Avery, a Deathworlder — adapts, overcomes, and survives.
When you get to UWP X8779745, you might wish to consult the Traveller UWP charts.

Summary
When introduced to the whole "Humans are space orcs" concept I was stricken by a wide myriad of emotions; the concept of raising ourselves up as a species is not something you see often. I fell in love with the idea that we come from a Death-world and our species is a terrifying, yet loyal to a fault and beloved, borderline pet to have on a ship at the same time. This was written up in roughly fifteen minuets, I did a quick pass over but I may have missed a comma here or there, sorry~. I'm also very new to this site so apologies if the formatting gets knackered!
This idea came to mind immediately and I just sort of jotted down the scene as it played out in my head. I did go back and add, what I feel at least, is enough info about why he's there and who he's working with. Hope you enjoy~!

Humanity is new to the galactic community, and they have made some waves and rumors float around several systems. Surely most of those must be tall tales? There's no way all of them can be true...
