Neither of them expected to meet the many different Amitys that ruled the mindscapes, nor did they expect to emphasise with someone who had fought them a hundred times over.
And yet, here they are.“My dads told me stories about it, cautionary tales of people who got lost in places like these with no way out.”
Luz groaned. Great, she was in another one of those adventures. Why couldn’t her exciting days be about getting icecream and hanging out with her friends? That would be so much better! Although a small voice in the back of her head told Luz that she had those kinds of days back in the human realm and that she had been utterly bored by them.

Lucia is stuck in class, and meets Amelia, a green haired, pointy earred girl and local class flirt.
Luz destroys the portal that will take her back home at the end of the summer to keep it out of an Emperors hands.
Lucia greets her sister back from Summer camp, and can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong.
