Avery's heart was beating out of her chest.
In front of her, crumpled on the floor- that had to be a person. She could trace it. A mop of dark hair that led into a torso, adorned with a golden chest plate, and a curled in pair of legs. Face down, unmoving…
Avery was in a state of shock, but she knelt down, and rolled the person onto their back. Curls of hair stuck to their face, and Avery had to wipe them away.
The face was not one that she knew. A human. Dark skinned, but turning concerningly pale with the ice stuck to it, and most surprisingly- this person must've been around Avery's age. Rounded face, soft features- furrowed brows that twitched when Avery touched their shoulder.
This person was alive, and freezing.
