“I have practice,” he says simply, and Davey whines at the loss of contact. Jack swoops in for another brush of lips, like he can’t help himself. “I’ll come by later?”
“You’d better,” Davey returns, watching as Jack’s nose crinkles, eyes narrowing even as a smile plays at the corners of his swollen lips. He grabs his schoolbag, and heads out of the library, and Davey gives it a few minutes before he sneaks out too, desperately hoping he looks somewhat presentable.
All in all, it’s not the worst way to start off his senior year.

No one in the school knows who is giving half of the student body great advice under the byline "Shirley." Not even Jack's best friend and soon to be editor-in-chief, Davey Jacobs, who is tempted to write into the column himself.
