Summary
Freshly back from the Refuge, Jack Kelly becomes the leader of the Manhattan Newsies when really all he wants to do is go out west to Santa Fe. Despite that, somehow he ends up at the forefront of a political movement alongside family and friends. Spot Conlon is is there too, I guess.
A rewrite of Newsies, taking inspiration from both the musical, the movie and even the novelization (with some pre and post-canon plot added to the mix). The labor movement has been a special interest of mine since grade school so trust, you're gonna be in for a good time. A lot of inspiration was taken from my own life and my experiences with queerness and my heritage.

Summary
David is the perfect son, ask any of his teachers. He's got the perfect life planned out, go to college, marry a nice Jewish girl, and settle down with some kids. But when he moves to a new school, he realizes his crush for Jack Kelly, and all that crumbles. Try as he might, he can't deny his feelings, and the tension they make.
Jack has it all, he is the star quarterback and could get any girl he wants. But when he meets the new kids, he realizes it's not any girl he wants. Struggling with his foster life and new emotions, he starts to slip form his pedestal.
When the school field trip puts them together together is a room, tensions are high all week. But right before they leave, a massive snow storm hits, trapping them inside.Aka: David is gay, but is religious and can't stand Jack. Jack is Bi and got a crap life he can't escape from, on top of loathing David and crushing on him. They get stuck in a hotel for a couple of days and maybe work it out.

Jack took me out today. It was odd. I wasn't sure what to wear. I borrowed one of Dad's old suits. I might've been overdressed, though, because Jack showed up in his regular attire; he did lose his vest, though. Just his regular blue button-up and that stupid red bandana.

“...hello.” David studies him, because this is not what he was promised by his books. No cloak. No skeletal hands. No hollow eyes. Just a boy roughly his age with tanned skin, warm eyes, and an outfit that looks like a cowboy and a 19th-century newsboy got into a fistfight and both lost: red bandana, odd cap, scuffed boots, and a satchel slung low on one hip. “I’m David.”
Or, Davey's dead and his reaper has no fashion sense.

At the Manhattan Boarding School, the Newsies face all sorts of new challenges ranging from self-discovery to blooming romance to the typical struggles of academic life. Some trouble arises when the boys meet the Delancey brothers, the biggest bullies at the school. Witness the Newsies' progress through love, conflict, and curricular life.

Summary
A tragedy occurs in the Jacobs family, preventing David and Sarah from getting into college. As much as Davey adores his family, he can't stand the feeling of guilt anymore and packs up his life to move to a small but lively village in the English countryside. Jack Kelly, who had no interest of attending college, spontaneously follows him out of the country, accidentally forcing his friend, Antonio, into it. The three of them eventually make themselves at home. Soon they notice strange things happening in the town, and are curious to investigate.
This is inspired Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series of books.

Jack nods. “Yeah, sure. We can, uh, maybe bring some ideas. For the debate, or whatever.”
“Or whatever,” David repeats, giving Jack an unimpressed look. His head tilts just slightly to the left, and Jack watches David’s gaze look him up and down, like he’s sizing him up. Like he’s looking for his next meal, and Jack is the sorry piece of shit in his way. “Text me. I’ll see you on Wednesday.”

Jack and David live in different worlds. Frat parties and gay bars, chapter meetings and drag queens, beer pong and passenger-seat weed- they're a match doomed to fail, and they're waiting for the wreckage.
But maybe they're more similar than they seem. Maybe they just need some time to figure it out.
Maybe it comes down to decisions and choices, masks and veils, and how to straddle the line between them.

Summary
Jack just knew, deep in his chest, that Davey wasn't telling him something. He was a bad liar to begin with, but the shifty glances and hasty exits had almost grown to be too much as of late. There was something happening and Jack was ridiculously out of the loop, which was beyond frustrating. Wasn't he supposed to be in the loop? Weren't he and Dave supposed to be best friends, or selling partners or co-presidents or whatever? He was tired of trying to catch that anxious green gaze, tired of chasing after answers.
What in the world could've been bothering Davey enough to push him to this level of silence? Jack was bound and determined to get to the bottom of it, even if it meant pushing his other priorities aside.
