*
when columbus falls victim to unexplained violent attacks, josh has three priorities: find his brother, protect his dog, and stay alive.
meeting tyler makes those things easier—and somehow much harder.

Summary
When Death-Cast calls Josh Dun to inform him that he’s going to die today, he doesn't believe it. He’s only twenty-three and just moved to Columbus to pursue his dream of drumming in one of his favorite bands. He’s fit, he’s healthy, and he's supposed to have his entire life ahead of him.
After Death-Cast calls Tyler Joseph, however, he can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. He’s spent his entire life living on borrowed time, having been born with a severe, fatal heart condition. Most of his young adulthood has been spent in hospital rooms, churches, and his bedroom under the near-constant supervision of a hospice nurse. Getting this phone call is the motivation he needs to break out of the small quarters he’s been forced into.
When Tyler and Josh connect on an app called Last Friends, they set out to live an entire life in a single day, and forge a connection that goes far beyond friendship in the process.

Summary
While heading for the Seine, Javert was diverted by a situation that rapidly spiralled out of control. Collar, chain, and Jean Valjean: he wishes that he reached the river after all.
He walked over to Valjean’s chair and fell to his knees and bowed his head.
“I am not a guest in your home,” he said, low and deliberate. “Master.”
Dystopian AU slavefic based upon the Dallas 2014 production, with characterisation and events based upon the same and shaken with very liberal splashes of Brick. Primarily worldbuilding, plot, and character development, with the slash happening as a byproduct. Fic has completed posting in its entirety.
Title taken from Demons by Imagine Dragons. Subtitled "A Treatise on the Role of the Law in the Dispensation of Mercy and Justice."
