Wei Wuxian becomes a musician, hoping that his immortal husband will hear his song and find him again. He becomes ridiculously famous.

Summary
Wei Wuxian realizes that, perhaps, when they have fights – the incense burner should stay unlit.
It starts with a forbidden and dangerous adventure with the juniors that ends up with Lan Wangji receiving five lashes from the discipline whip on their behalf, causing a fight between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.
This creates a pandemonium when they leave the incense burner lit up as they go to sleep, which transports an apparition of the current Wei Wuxian back to witness that fateful day when Lan Wangji returned with A-Yuan from Burial Mounds and received his punishment of thirty-three whips, and the day when Lan Wangji has given A-Yuan his courtesy name after Wei Wuxian has died.

Wen Qing sat silently in the prison beneath Carp Tower, her brother in the cell next to her, the night was nearly over. It was probably 3 or 4 in the morning. Sometime after sunrise she and her brother would be taken to a public square and executed.
Wen Qing was attempting to calm her mind enough to meditate when she heard the creak of the heavy door leading into their wing of cells. She rose to her feet, tense. There was no reason for a guard to be coming for them this early. Her stomach twisted with unease. Had something happened? Had they found Wei Wuxian? Or was something more sinister about to occur? Lan Wangji is staring at him with shockingly alert eyes.
“Ah. Burger Man,” he says stoically. Wei Wuxian has a really hard time telling if the man is serious or fucking with him. But given that he has never seen the man being anything other than serious, he assumes that he’s probably drunk.
“Yeah, I’m the Burger Man. And you’re Lan Wangji. Do you normally spend your Friday nights sitting on the street like this?” he asks.
Lan Wangji looks around, as if he had not been aware they were on a street in the middle of the city. Had he blacked out? How much had he drunk? Was he on any drugs? There was no real way for Wei Wuxian to know.
“Do not,” Lan Wangji finally responds, frowning at the pavement like it’s its fault that he’s sitting on it.
Or, Wei Wuxian is slightly obsessed with the Hot Customer at work. After running into him on a night out, and consequently figuring out he has a kid, he somehow talks himself into getting to babysit said kid. So what if he starts crushing on this man who is obviously taken? Wei Wuxian has everything under control.
