Matthew’s lips press into a thin line, then he takes a deep breath. “Way to ruin my momentum.”
“Sorry,” Hanbin says, laughing at the expression on Matthew’s face. “Please continue.”
Fighting back the sulky Matthew that threatens to appear, Matthew finds his energy once again clapping his hands together and startling everyone.
“It’s November first, this means the competition is back on, right?”

It’s harmless really.
Just standard industry networking, a senior idol offering to help out a rookie group, and definitely not an excuse that Hanbin came up with on the fly.
“Oh, Hanbin-sunbaenim,” Zhang Hao smiles. “If you wanted to get me alone, all you had to do was ask.”

The blood in his hair is beginning to dry and flake off but Zhang Hao continues to card a hand through it over and over again, his fingers easing apart the strands of hair that have matted together. It's not wholly selfless — he wants to feel the firm shape of Hanbin's skull underneath the wide spread of his hand and vow no one else no one else no one else, like he can physically push the oath into Hanbin's brain and watch it take root there.
